DCL Transport Question?

We want to go to WDW for 3 nights after a 4 day Wonder cruise. I know the DCL transfers are more expensive - but it might be the best fit for our party. I read on another web site that the busses from Port Canaveral are Mears vans and not the nice DCL busses. Does anyone know if this is true? We had hoped to take the DCL bus to BC have them transport our luggage to the BW and have lunch at Beaches and Cream (cheeseburger here I come!). I would sure appreciate a reply from anyone who knows what the "scoop" is on the busses. Thanks!

Dose the DCL transfers go to WDW after the cruise? I thought they went directly to MCO....I also don't think if they do go to WDW that they go to many diffrent places...I think it's just a few select resorts...then you have to figure out how to get your stuff from one point to the other. But again I really don't think they do post cruise drop offs at WDW...but I could be wrong.

Have you checked into a town car service? They' do what you want when you want...and it's only your group not a bus full.

We've taken the DCL buses on all 4 of ou prior. I can't speak for the transport off the ship but someone will. On the last three we booked our own air to save $$ but still book the transfers. There's just something about handing the luggage over to DCL and knowing we'll see it at our next destination (ship or customs). I would imagine after the stop at MCO they would then go to the resorts, right? Someone will answer that question for you. The other reason we love the DCL busses is because they have that wonderful video. It makes the trip go by faster and there's something about the atmosphere I love! When I get on the bus, my vacation has already kicked in full speed (and I don't have to touch my luggage!!!)

Hi There,

We just booked for the September 2, 2006 cruise and we booked only the cruise and transfers. We would like to add a few days on the front to visit Disney World. Will my transfers still work?

Regs,

I would think they have to considering some people book the Land/Sea package with the cruise up front and end with WDW. But I'll defer to someone who knows for sure.

As far as how this works, you can use your vouchers for regular Mears shuttle service.

In regard to the original question, they use the deluxe motor coaches for the return trip and they do go to WDW as well as to the airport.

We did this last year. I just called my travel agent and told her I was going to WDW after the cruise and our she took care of the vouchers. We did ride on a DCL bus (and got to watch cartoons all the way to WDW). At the port there are buses for WDW and buses for the airport. They did make the rounds and dropped everyone off at their resort. Unfortunately, ours was the last resort, so we did spend some time driving around, but it worked out great for us, and it wasn't that much more to add it on.

When we left the ship after our cruise last April, their was an area with the DCL buses picking up passengers to go to WDW and the resorts. I wanted to get back on, but sadly the bus back to the airport was what I had to ride.

Thanks for the replies! One more quick question - do they drop you at any resort or do they only drop off at specific resorts that are part of the Land/Sea package. Thanks again for any help!
