DCL Transport from Orlando Airport

Just getting off the Disney Dream! As soon as we got to the airport we checked in with the bus. They give you a ticket and everyone is separated based on arrival time. Once they called our bus (we were first) they took the concierge from our group first. Then we all boarded.

the bus dropped off at a central location in groups. You embark and disembark the bus in groups of 8-10. They check your documents and split between unvaccinated and vaccinated. Vaxed go ahead and unvaccinated go to the tent for testing. a cast member will walk you over. They scan your port arrival at the tent and direct you to the testing station. Adult family member completes swab under direction of inspire staff. Then you wait at another tent.

Arrival time - is time you show up at airport NOT your assigned time. It’s such a long process they aren’t making you wait in the airport until your time.

Thanks so much kuppusamy! That's a big help! What time did your bus depart? We get to the airport around 8:45. So from what you're saying now, we'll go right down and check in. We have a 1:00 port arrival time so should be on one of the first busses out. In the past, we would get to the port right after they opened and got on the ship right after 11. So this is all new. Thanks for your help.

It was great! It was also our first Disney cruise, so I don’t have a prior DCL to compare to but we usually cruise with RCL. It was amazing to be back out at sea. And, Disney made it so easy for me to just take my daughter by myself (my husband and 3 other kids stayed home).

my daughter is used to entertainment from her three older brothers. That was her complaint - she was bored. I heard other kids on the beach complaining about the same with theirfamilies - so I know she wasn’t alone. My sister does DCL often and thought there would be entertainment on the beach - but there wasnt. All characters were roped off. I expected this.

My only complaint is that Some people did not follow the covid protocols. Mostly it was teens but some adults as well. The teens even tried to get in an elevator maskless with my 9 year Old unvaccinated. And again at the fireworks maskless teens not adhering to the social distancing of the cast members (we had assigned circles).

Thanks so much kuppusamy! That's a big help! What time did your bus depart? We get to the airport around 8:45. So from what you're saying now, we'll go right down and check in. We have a 1:00 port arrival time so should be on one of the first busses out. In the past, we would get to the port right after they opened and got on the ship right after 11. So this is all new. Thanks for your help.

Do you have an unvaccinated child/person in your party? We spent a majority of our wait in that queue. If you arrive at 8;45 am and check in you will make it in the first bus out! As long as they keep the procedures the same. The crew members told me it’s such a mess out there they want everyone checked in when they get to the airport and get them through the port stuff as early as possible.

If everyone in your party is vaccinated you will get through the port much quicker!

Great! Everyone in our party has been vaccinated. So what time do you think we'll leave? We had heard you couldn't get near the port until 1. So we figured we would have to wait around the airport. Thanks!

We were on that first bus out of the airport, by the time that bus loaded up and left we didn’t get there until right around 1 pm. I think that’s a fair estimate.

We too arrive at MCO early 7:50 am. Would sending one adult down to DCL motor coach desk to check in suffice or will the whole party need to go down? We will probably have breakfast in airport as we wait for our bus.

Don't know if it's changed, but the whole party had to be present to check in for the bus when we did it in the past. Now, you could check in and then go away (if there were lots of time) before actually joining the boarding line. But everyone had to be there for boarding together, also.

We just picked up something quick and easy enroute from airplane gate to DCL transportation area (bagels, boxed cereal). Didn't cost much and we figured we'd be eating once we got onboard.
