New Disney Visa "Inspire" card

Too bad Disney+ doesn't allow you to split the payment across 2 cards. My monthly payment is $24.99/month for the "Legacy bundle" (Disney+ no ads, Hulu Ads and ESPN Plus). If I could split the payment onto 2 cards and get the $10 credit on each, it would make applying for 2 cards simple - but I don't think you can split the payment that way.
Ours is on autopay but is there a way to make manual payments with card 1 and then put in card 2 for the rest? Of course a lot of extra work doing that as well if it is an option.

I wonder if I can charge a Disney gift card to my room? Buy 2x $1000 Disney Gift Card, charge it to my room and then use one of the Disney Visa's towards the Folio. If that works, then you'd essentially be buying a $2000 DGC for 13% off ($200 Disney Reward Dollars plus 3% back in Disney Reward Dollars). Then in theory you could use that DGC to pay for DVC dues or whatever else you wanted.
Genius!!! That thought never even crossed my mind. We need to see if someone in the parks can charge just a small gift card to their room then if that works it should work for larger amounts as well.

I didn't see a way to manually pay for Disney+. I had the thought that buying a Disney+ gift card from the Disney+ website might trigger the $10 per month and then you could buy a $10 Disney+ gift card each month, get the $10 credit and apply the $10 towards your monthly bill every month - but unfortunately the Disney+ website ( https://www.disneyplus.com/welcome/gift-card ) simply says that buying gift cards isn't working right now and you need to go to Disneystore.com to purchase a gift card :(

Applied and approved. The the credit limit we were given in even less than half of the limit we have on our Premier card. So that's kind of a bummer. We don't necessarily need a high limit but I still would prefer it. We already got the gift card in an email. Now we just wait for the physical card to arrive.

You can move credit limit around among your cards with Chase. Sometimes you have to wait a few months to be able to do it with new cards, but eventually you'll be able to do it yourself from the Chase online account management.

I've been reading through the thread but with all of the fast moving information, I have a couple of questions I would like to clarify if people can.

If I have a Disney Premier card and have had it longer than 24 months , can I upgrade to this new card and get the $300 signup bonus and the $300 after $1,000 spend bonus as well? I've had my card for years and never played the upgrade subscription offer game.

Do I need to call to upgrade vs. applying online? When I clicked the link it seemed to bring up a new application not an upgrade option.

Does that give me new account numbers as well as new physical cards? Can I keep my existing account numbers and/or cards? (I have a design I like no longer available. Not a deciding factor, just curious)

What happens to my accumulated Disney Rewards balance on my existing accounts? Do they stay if it is just an upgrade? Or do I need to move them/use them before getting the new card?

Do I get any of the prorated $50 annual fee back I paid on the existing Premier account? I still have 6 months left.

Thanks!

Upgrades will not earn you the sign up bonus only an application for a new card will.

As of now upgrade appears to need a phone call.

Upgrade keeps existing account info. New account gets all new account info and new cards.

You’d have to clarify with customer service but an upgrade I would think would just keep your current earnings.

A question for CS.

I'm not sure the new card is really worth it for me without the bonuses.

My Disney+/Hulu/ESPN subscription is included in my verizon plan, so I pay nothing. Until they drop that perk, but I just got a new phone without having to change the plan so I guess it will be around for a while.

I have been paying for all of my Disney expenses with gift cards, bought at about a 15-20% discount. SO I'm not sure the extra% on Disney purchases will make any difference.

I can save on the tickets, assuming I pay for the first $200 with the visa card and the rest with a gift card, but that still just basically covers the increased fee. And doesn't cover it if I switch back to the no fee version.

Is there anything I'm missing in my analysis? Is there spend that would qualify that I may not be able to cover with the Disney gift cards? Be curious to see if Swan/Dolphin/Reserve qualifies as Disney spend at 3%. They don't take gift cards.

Thanks. I saw this on the website and some of the more recent replies seemed to indicate it might.

This product is available to you if you do not have this card and have not received a new Cardmember bonus for this card in the past 24 months.

If I recall correctly, I applied for and was approved for the CSP card. I called within a few days to move credit for my Disney visa to the CSP card because I was buying direct points.

My wife was just informed she is getting two weeks off of work this month and she said "we should go somewhere, but not Florida, I am tired of Disney. Let's go to the Grand Canyon or Sequioa national park." So my whole day has been ruined, im depressed, and I cant handle being rejected by the credit card too today. So im out.
Sequoia in Feb? I'd be depressed too. You can't even do the general's highway as it's closed for the season and you're one big snowstorm from spending your vacay in beautiful Fresno, CA :rotfl2:

Would I still be able to do that and then close the Premier card? I don't want to carry to Disney cards with an annual fee. So the plan is to move all my autopay stuff to the new card and once it's all said and done, close the premier.
