How much is a transfer from the ship to the airport?

Also, if you buy one and then (before sailing) find out you are making other plans, can you cancel it?

How close to sailing can you purchase a transfer and do they have a limited number of transfers? I mean, is it better to buy earlier because they might sell out?

Can it be purchased on the ship (for return)? Can it be purchased at the airport for going to the ship?

If you're taking the return to airport transfer, do you pick up your luggage, go through customs and then go to the bus or is the luggage taken right to the bus and you just clear customs with your carry-on and then head to the bus?

From Port Canaveral to MCO? $39.00 per person.

Yes.

They don't sell out. You can purchase them while onboard. I believe you have to do so by, like, 2 days out from the ending day. Yes, you can purchase them at the airport.

If your on a participating airline, and a domestic flight, you can participate in the onboard check in process. You leave your bags outside your room onboard the last night, and the next time you see your (checked) bags is at your home airport.

The requirements are below

  • You must have purchased DCL Air and/or DCL Ground Transfers
  • Your flight has to leave from Orlando International Airport after 11:30 am on the same day your cruise vacation ends. Your flight must be on a participating airline:
Alaska Airlines
American Airlines
Delta Air Lines
JetBlue Airways
United Airlines
Your final destination must be within the U.S. (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands)
  • Each luggage piece can weigh no more than fifty (50) pounds.
  • Airline specific baggage fees may apply and can vary by airline. Please check with your specific carrier for more details.
  • Applicable airline baggage fees will be posted directly to your shipboard account.
  • Some Guests may be selected to check in at the airport and may not be able to use this service.

If you are not doing the onboard airline check in, you leave your bags outside your door onboard the last night. Claim your bags in the terminal, and take them with you through immigration/customs check, and hand them over to the bus driver. At the airport you get the bags from the driver and take them to your airline to check in.

Not flying on one of those airlines, so I guess, just collect as normal and head to the bus.

I've always wondered about this, so I'll throw it out to the experts.

Anyone in the military have experience in doing the onboard check-in process? When I fly American Airlines, even when I'm not on orders I get 3 free bags that I can check (but I have to show my Military ID at the airport check-in area). I am assuming that the baggage fees would already post and you'd never get them refunded if you do onboard check-in?

How about if you have an airlines branded credit card that gives you a free bag for each member of your party? Does the onboard check-in have the ability to recognize that, or do you still get hit with the fees?

(I assumed that I'd get nailed with baggage fees so the one time we did DCL transfers to MCO we just carried our bags. However, it would be nice to not haul them around.)

It's my understanding, if you have free baggage (from whatever source), once the charge hits your onboard account, you just to Guest Services and show proof you have free bags and they remove it.
