DCL Survey seems promising

I've completed a lot of DCL Surveys in the past and most were about my experience and even a few with a question about whether I would be interested in a certain port.

But this one was different. It actually asked for a list of Ports or Countries I would love to visit. I couldn't decide on only 3...why just 3?!!!

Anyway, I just wanted to know if others had the same survey and how they handled only choosing 3 places to visit. Also, how did you like the other Ports that were mentioned ie. Faroe Islands?

I do love the fact that they asked where I would like to visit. I hope they do take guest's preference into consideration.

The only issue I had with this was that it didn't ask for a comment. I would have like to say that I would have preferred to extend the cruise and stay longer at certain ports. We didn't do Pulpit Rock at Stavanger because I didn't want to be rushed and we weren't able to do the Path of Trolls because we weren't in Alesund long enough or even another port close to it.

I'd love to give my opinion, but, most of the time, once I've filled out my location and age, they say "Thanks, you don't fit our demographic".

That's unfortunate. Why would that matter? I am assuming they are asking because you're a previous DCL cruiser...so your opinion matters.

I apologize if this is too personal...but what location are you providing?

Well, I've always gone through the whole thing - we aren't AP holders, cast members, DVC, D23 or anything like that and live in Oregon. Maybe there aren't as many people from the west coast that do them?

But this survey was not that specific. You would choose North America...then United States.

Just to be clear, this survey was sent to me because I just finished a Norway/Iceland DCL cruise. It was much more intensive that previous surveys I've done.
I do. It kicks me out after I get to age. Suffice it to say, I'm not in the younger, parenting, group.

If PrincessShmoo did this survey, they wouldn't know she was from the West Coast or any part of US. It's just North America and then the country. For me, it's Canada. It was nothing more specific than that.

However, they did send it specifically because of the cruise we just went on, so it was specific to my experience and not really general.

This may be just a new survey. Perhaps they are trying to get feedback for new itineraries when the 3 new ships are completed.

As I mentioned, another part of the survey did ask about my interest in some ports and there were some great ones that I was DEFINITELY interested in - ie. Molokai. Hopefully some will come to fruition. :goodvibes

Moloka'i?? I would LOVE to see Moloka'i! And Kalaupapa there. One day when we're on Maui, I'm going to fly over and stay a few nights and do the mule ride down to Kalaupapa (the leper colony). But I cannot imagine how that tiny an island with that low a population could ever handle a whole cruise ship's worth of visitors for the day. But Moloka'i would make a fabulous day trip excursion from either Oahu or Maui!

Looks like there are a few different versions of that online survey going around. I was on the exact same cruise and my survey was more typical of post cruises survey I have received in the past. No questions about port of calls or the new entertainment scheduling, which I know some cruisers were asked about...
