DCL survey from 10/18 Treasure cruise

Completed one after our June sailing. It wasn’t about expenses or drinks but a combination of a lot different questions across a a lot of different areas. However, I let them know many time everything we were dissatisfied with. Since then I’ve received at lease two other surveys the last one was about our upcoming December sailing. That one had a lot of questions about if the promotions had any influence on the choice to book. Several of the questions were ask different ways about the same topic several times.

Would Disney actually make money on a drink package? Could such be a back door to a soda package?🤔

My thought is it would be like Royal- Everyone in the room must be on a package. Kids would get a package that included smoothies and the non alcoholic speciality drinks. They could make very good money with this. Parents hoping to drink more would need to get a package for each party member but if they have the time to actually make good use of it might not happen depending on how much the kids enjoy the kids club (or not)

That would be good I suppose for those who would enjoy such. I just wonder if they have a soda, tea, and juice package in the back of thier minds as well? Wouldn’t shock me what so ever.

If memory serves, DCL tried that at one point and it was massively unpopular and so they went back to it being included. I doubt they would take away soda (its so cheap) or juice and tea.

I do think a drink package might be coming and that I could see DCL making serious money on it. Many people like things that feel all inclusive which is why so many people pay for the dining plan even if is often not a good value. I do not think the majority of adults would get sloppy drunk but a few might; however I have seen that without a drink package- heck I was tipsy at a trivia once coming back from Cozumel (I thought the margaritas were more watered down than they were and they did not hit me until later :faint::guilty:). A drink package could be a money maker for DCL- I think ppl will assume they will get more drinks than they actually will have time for.

I have been pitching a once a year adult only sailing for awhile (and yes there are ways to do it with the spaces not being an issue). I would LOVE for DCL to offer this (off season, on whatever ship they are struggling to fill, and even at a higher than normal DCL mark up it will sell out ASAP). DCL would need to market this as a special sailing with unique offerings similar to a DVC member cruise but I think it would sell as fast as the panama sailings do (if not faster)

I would love an adults only cruise, I would absolutely sign up for this and I agree with you it would sell if they only offer it once a year.

They do keep asking about an adult only cruise on their post cruise surveys. I have been answering yes to that question for over a year. Seems a no brainer to me - give their customers something they want and help fill an empty sailing. Seems like a win win.

I had no idea they tried a soda package before. Unreal with the prices they charge to begin with. But they may be thinking they need to make up revenue with all these discounts on cruises that they are shelling out now. 🤔
