DCL question

When do you put your DCL luggage tags on your cases? We are using Disney transfers to take us to our pre cruise hotel where we will stay for 2 nights before getting on the ship. Do we Brits collect our own luggage after the flight and take it to the Magical Express ourselves? Or do you put the tags on and get DCL to transfer?

I don't believe the DCL labels will get your luggage on ME to a resort. Even if they did I would still take the cases myself as they can take up to 4 hours to arrive after you check in

We always collect and take our own luggage on to ME.

Thanks! I thought as much , the instructions are geared towards American domestic flights, where they tell you to place the luggage tags on before you fly. Can't wait 4 hours for luggage to arrive with small children!

Are you using DCL transfers to take you to the ship?

If you are, you will have a letter delivered to your resort room the night before which will instruct you to place all bags to be transfered to the ship just inside your door by a specified time the morning of departure (with the DCL tags on)

You just then jump on the DCL coach with your carry on and your bags will be delivered to your stateroom

Yes we are, I think we will collect our own bags and take them to the ME, then add the tags at POR for the transfer to PC, the pre cruise accommodation and the transfers are all booked through DCL.
