DCL Point Charts?

While I'm waiting to hear on my ROFR at VWL, does anyone know where I can see a point chart for DCL cruises for 2005 and 2006? I already have this years vacation planned and almost paid for, so if we get the contract, I would like to use this years and next years points on a cruise.

Also, when booking a cruise using points, do you have to have the points available at the time of booking, or at the time of sailing? If I was going in say August of next year, would I need to borrow or bank? My use year would be October?

The 2006 point chart for the DCL is not out yet. Based on past years, I doubt we'll see it much before the end of this year.

The 2005 chart is on the member's website, but it is a .pdf file so I cannot copy and paste it here for you. If you have an idea of the length of cruise, type of cabin and if you want a 7 night,whether it will be an Eastern or Western itinerary, I would be happy to look up the 2005 points for you. Keep in mind that the points are probably going to increase for 2006. The points to cruise have risen every year as far as I can recall.

If your use year is October, you would use 2005 use year points for a cruise in August of 2006.

Here's a chart you can make for yourself to help keep things straight:

2005 use year points are good between 10/1/2005 and 9/30/2006
2006 use year points are good between 10/1/2006 and 9/30/2007
2007 use year points are good between 10/1/2007 and 9/30/2008
2008 use year points are good between 10/1/2008 and 9/30/2009

etc.

If your resale contract has 2004 points still available, you would bank them into the 2005 use year to make them valid for an August 2006 cruise (which falls within your 2005 use year).

To use 2006 use year points for your August 2006 cruise, you would have to borrow them. MS will not allow you to borrow until you make the reservation. MS will walk you through the process when you book.
