WHERE did you take this? Is that Sorcerer Mickey or a toy in the sand?
Jan :earsgirl:

It was taken at Serenity Bay on Castaway Cay.
That little Mickey is a sorcerer Mickey Christmas ornament who came along with us for our trip. :lmao:

Here he is again on Castaway Cay....

Melanie, you are too funny! How cute is that!? LOL.. although to my eyes, he looks a lil' big for a christmas tree ornament.. But he is super cute!! LOL Great idea!
And i know i will be the same way with pics - for me that is part of the whole trip.. I am starting a WDW/DCL album just for me, with all my special pics that no one else might understand why i would take pics of! LOL But to me, the arcitecture, the flowers, the food.. it's all waiting to be captured!

Definitely clever.
My biggest problem with those trip scrapbooks is that, while I have a great time collecting the items and making the pages, I hardly ever or sometimes NEVER even look at them after they are done. I have one cruise scrapbook that is a 4 inch binder!!
We now live in a small condo, half the size of our last house and space is at a PREMIUM!!
So
what to do with all the great photos and scrapbooks?
Suggestions?

Jan.... omg. you have to look at them! Relive the magic (or wonder!) every now and again... I look at mine all the time, and my dd does too. (Even my dh!) ;) However, i love to also have pics on display - so i have come up with an idea - i am going to have a ton of b&w prints done of our WDW/DCL vacations done up, and use them in frames all around my kitchen wall - think of a wall paper border with photos!! :) I promise i will take pics of it when it is done!

That is an awesome idea Caitsmama!!!!!
I look at my scrapbooks all the time too----I pull them & my photo albums out whenever I get lonely for Disney.

Here's my picture today....

I love the border idea--but don't put them too high to see them.

We have a collage of me with Minnie from one cruise and our formal night portrait from another cruise that are framed and in our BODACIOUS UNDER THE SEA bathroom. A picture from the character breakfast on the MAGIC is on the dresser, we put photos from our September cruise with our kids in plastic page protectors and poster-puttyed them on the door to the office-den and my computer screen saver is a slide show from a past cruise so I do see the photos lots of times a day. The scrapbooks live in our storage closet across the hall because in our house they lived on shelves and were hardly every looked at. Now when I want a DCL "fix" I come to the DIS or look at my pictures on my laptop.
See the dilemma?
Life is different when you are at the stage of downsizing.

In lieu of making a tradional scrapbook, I uploaded my pictures to Shutterfly.com and made a beautiful hard cover book of our cruise. I was able to edit and narrate it myself. It contains over 200 pictures and is 62 pages but it's a thin 12 x 12 book that doesn't take up a lot of room. It would fit on a bookshelf with no problem. It was much less time consuming than traditional scrapbooking and it's smaller for those with storage issues. HTH :goodvibes

We do this (a photobook) for all of our trips! We use mypublisher.com. It's been so much fun, and they are fantastic to keep out and look at! :goodvibes I'm working on digiscrapping our last cruise, but we'll still have it bound in this format.

I love it! In fact, it's in my car, I carry it everywhere I go. My memories are always with me, and it's fun to show off my pics! :lmao: :goodvibes

I loved this play area...it had great cuteness factor.

This is part of the newest drydock remodle on the Wonder (done fall 2006)...so no the Magic does not have it (yet).;) It is awefully cute..and looks like it could be alot of fun for the little tikes...so I do hope they have plans to add it to the Magic during it's next drydock (in 08 I think)

That's what I do is digiscrap the pages but still use mypublisher.com to make the book - with full bleed to edge on the pages. Here's a couple I did from our 2005 Mexico Disney Cruise - hoping to do 2008 also!

I just recieved my first disney photobook and love it. However you are limited to 20 pages formatted with a few choices. I have never heard of mypublisher.com. Is it real expensive like if I wanted to do my past trips in separate books? I apologize for being OT. This is one of my favorite threads.

Mypublisher what is this?? And they have Disney books??????

mypublisher.com was posted by tink2020. Disneys photobook is on disneyphotopass.com. It was $70.00 for 20 pages. I love it.

Jan - We are doing it at a chair rail height - Since we also have half the wall as a painted paneling -- so the border will be right above it.. I am so excited to try it.. Probably in March/April.. since i have to paint my store first..
