We are finally at the 1 year mark!!!! Only 365 days left to go.

Wow, can't believe we are finally at one year. I wanna go now!

Guess I'll start looking into plans for the cruise after October, because we'll be in WDW from the 13th to the 19th and MNSSHP on the 14th. We so need this trip.

I just got off the phone with member services- leadership team. According to DVC they have decided as of last night to let those of us who already have a cash reservation and want to pay off with points will be allowed to. They are going to have a ms person call me back when this is done. DVC said it should be today or tomorrow!! I guess very one screaming helped!!

That's incredible. What do we do if we've sent a furious email, haven't heard back and are one of those people with a cash reservation trying to switch to points?

Keep emailing. They tell me it's a case by case. It's not right that those of us who made a big stink are getting it taken care of. Don't get me wrong I am very thankful I am now paid off!! It's just different treatment for different people makes me crazy!!!

How can it be a case by case basis? Does it depend on which cruise or which cabin cateogory? I have 8 cabins booked on a February Dream 4-night and a cabin on this Alaskan cruise. I'll shift whichever they will let me over to points, so long as I can use points before they expire.

She just called me again and we are all set. Very nice cm. She said they were going to honor all previously booked cruises. So if you don;t get a call in the next few days call the 800 DVC number and ask for Management. regular member services won't be doing it.

I am so thrilled we are all set. I was so worried that without a job we weren;t going to be able to swing this if we had to pay all cash!!! Now after our October cruise I can start researching Alaska!!!!

I'll give DVC another day or so to respond to my email, and if I don't hear back, I should call the regular number but when I get connected to a regular customer service person, I should ask to speak to management directly? Should I say why?

Yes, ask for management, I would just say it was for an already booked cruise.

OK, Joanne your advice was spot on. I got a call from one of the two guys you mentioned in your posts from a few days ago, and he was lovely and really wanted to help. He did reiterate that there had been no change in policy, just a huge uptick in demand, and he suggested that they would look to increase their allotment of cabins going forward. I am going to get a call from a supervisor by Monday who will work with me to move reservations to points. I was very appreciative. I think they understand that they had a substantive problem that they handled poorly and are trying to fix the handling of it in the short term and the substantive problem in the long time.

Hi, I'm booked on this cruise too and can't wait. I'm so glad that it finally got to the under 365 days mark.

I'm also on the Member Cruise in two weeks. I bet the DVC member meetings will really be interesting on that cruise. I also bought more DVC points with the intention of using them for DCL cruises so I'm very interested in what they will be saying.

Just an update to say that DVC called today and did let me convert reservations from cash to points. I just wanted to use up our current use year points, so I converted reservations we have on the 2/20 Dream and left this cruise alone. But they did come through, and it's done. Will be very interested to hear what goes on on the Member Cruise!

With we hope a good Tax return and me as Nancy said save some of my money from my spring job and her subbing we will have some extra.
