Quick post as I'm super busy getting ready for visiting the Mouse in DL next week. But, just wanted to let you know that we reached the:

400 days until we sail to Alaska with Mickey mark

Anyone else go plans to go visit with Mickey soon?

We'll be on the WBTA in September, then at WDW in December. :cool1:

When in October? Some if us will be there the 23-24th.

We are looking at flying in on the 22nd I think. Looking at a 4 nighter on the 24th and then a couple of days at HRH to do Harry Potter.

Trying to find some decent flights at the moment.

I have started our trip planning for this cruise and it suddenly involves planes, trains and automobiles. We are planning on kayaking and camping in the San Juans the weekend before we leave on the cruise and will head to Vancouver on the evening of the 21st so we will have all day on the 22nd and part of the day on the 23rd. I am trying to find a motel near Canada Place since we won't have a car. So now that is in the works need some help with what to see and do in Vancouver. Any suggestions from our friends from the North?

what is there in vancouver, that is a "do not miss" for people who were never there before...and is there any recom..for hotels (dnt have a car) that are not too expensive, but not bad

There's lots to see and do in Vancouver. There is a "Vancouver FAQ" thread started in the main cruise forum. I'm going to start one for Victoria once I get back from visiting DL and catch up on work.

Quick answer - Science World, Vancouver Aquarium, Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Stanley Park and Granville Island. Google any of these and they'll come up with websites. These are top attractions - there are many more lower key ones.

The Port is right downtown - several hotels in walking distance or a very short cab ride. The ones right at the Port literally are high class - really expensive ($300-$400 a night - if not more). There are a few hotel chains in the area, but exactally where I'd need to do some research. Plenty of shopping and restaurants close by. Very good Skytrain (like a subway) system available if you want to go further out to Burnaby, Surrey, and Richmond.

great thanks for the info - looks like we will have plenty to do and see. You are right on the hotels but have found a few that are not right there but only a short walk away that are much more reasonable. Really looking forward to the trip.

If you've got a couple of names - I can check out the area for you. I'm over there tomorrow. Going to see the Lion King on Broadway tour. Might get a chance to check things out. If not, I can ask my sister and family about the locations.

thank you so much for the info..:yay:

FYI - some people over on the "Vancouver FAQ" thread are posting about getting some good rates at the Pan Pacific Hotel. $199 - $239 or possibly less with a AAA discount a night.
