I have read that a photo I.D. is now required to go ashore at the ports of call on the cruise. Since we have already handed over our passports will photocopies of them be enough or will I need to use something else?
Anyone help?

Do you have one of the photo driving licences as they are perfect. Other than that DCL will photocopy your passports for you. We are going on our 5th Magic cruise this summer - we love it!

Unfortunately neither of us have a photo driving licence but as long as a passport photocopy is good then were sorted thanks for the reply.

They do keep your passports and you get them back on the last morning. They ask at check in if you have other ID then arrange a photocopy. If I were you I would try and get the photo licences as they save carrying your passport for ID while in the US. My mum has one (she's 71) but I don't drive so don't have one.
