Well hooray, CG is a bit closer! We did AZ mills in 2002, I think. I know it wasn't 04 because I moved to NH Christmas week 2003. That was a fun meet.

We got picked to host a party too, and I'm so excited.

My idea so far is to have a formal sit down dinner .. kind of like the Golden Mickeys night on board ship. There will be 12 of us but I'm not sure on the menu yet. We have a dessert menu from that night and I'm thinking of copying the front of it and then inserting my own menu.

I just bought some M. Mouse plates from the Disney store (no, not just for the party) they are black and white and pretty classy looking, they will fit perfectly with my theme. I'm thinking of making some paper place mats in the shape of Mickey's head, that should set of the white plates from the white table cloth.

I've got so many ideas rattling around in my brain right now, I've got to get them on paper before I forget. I can't wait to hear other people's ideas

You can see copies of all the DCL menus here on the DIS. Let me know if you don't find them quickly and I'll track it down.

House Party and DCL set the date for the 14th. All the party packs have to be assembled, labeled, and mailed. Because you chose to move the date up a week, they may not be able to alter their schedule. Could you do it on the 15th?

I live in McKinney. I found some fun things in the Dallas area. The Disney Store Outlet in Grapevine had some kids cups similar to these:

But with Mickey and gang on them for $2.99, plus they had an additional 25 % off.

Tuesday Morning also had some holiday poppers/crackers with a toy assortment in them with Disney characters on the packaging. I am considering doing a cruising away for the holidays theme, so I think those will be fun for the kids.

We just hosted the Windows 7 house party and the pack arrived about a week before. So you should be fine. I just can't wait to see everything we get, especially the Totem pole. It looks like there is a lot more in this pack than in the last party.

We got picked too!!!! Probably because they didn't get too many entries from California, MO!!!! I just about have my guest list ready to send. Kinda wanted to call most of my invites first so they knew what to expect. I know 3 of my guests have planned or our hoping to take their first Disney cruise in the near future.

I wonder how big the totem pole is going to be. I thought about doing one area focusing on Alaska, one on the Caribbean and using a palm tree, and one on the Mediterranean/Northern Europe but can't decide what the focus point would be there. And then I would have general info about each of those. Any suggestions on what I could use for the Mediterranean/Northern Eurpoe centerpiece?

Food wise I am thinking appetizer and finger foods. I would love to find the recipe for the wings they serve in Diversions.

Why not on the 15th? The big thing that day is football, so depending on if you and your friends would rather watch football than talk about a cruise????????????????? There are people who have said they are doing it on the 15th, so you would be fine as far as House Party is concerned.

OMPug! I am the QUEEN of souvenir glasses from cruise ships. Do I have ANY from DCL? Not ONE!!!! I ordered some cute plastic glasses from the HP Site, actually from Amazon. They will work. I do have quite a few nice plastic adult beverage glasses from my prior pool ownership days. Plates I think I will need yo find. Since they are supplying napkins, one more thing off the list.
