I think I know the answer to this, but I want to see if anyone can confirm my thinking before I finalize my plans. I assume that the DCL guests visiting the parks for 1 day as part of the Bahamas sailings from NYC, do not have access to EMH since they are not WDW resort guests? Right now the latest closing for the parks on our park day is 9PM, but MK has PM EMH that day. :confused3

I believe you are correct, no EMH for cruise passengers.

Enjoy your cruise and WDW port stop!

Correct. However you will have a park hopper. We were exhausted after 2 parks and 8 hours. Returned to the ship around 7pm and got room service before passing out.

Thanks for the confirmation! Do you happen to know/recall if the FP+ included follow the usual rules as well? Mainly wondering if they must be used in the same park initially, if we can still get the 4th+ via MDE and if they follow the tiers? Right now I'm on a 7:45AM bus to AK to do just Pandora for our niece who's not been yet, then off to HS for a H&V 12:05PM ADR and TSL followed by MK for the remainder of the day. My original plan was to do HS and TSL first and then just MK, but DD and DN are really pulling for Pandora (which I think is better after dark anyway, but what does mom know:rolleyes:). I've already told everyone that we basically have 5 1/2 days to relax and 1 day to go till we drop on this cruise!:teeth:

The 3 FastPasses that DCL will give you can be used on any ride, any park, any time. Of course they couldn't put restrictions on them and not allow you to use them on the new TSL rides but last year during these cruises you could use them on the Pandora rides so hopefully it'll be the same this year. We're on the Nov. 10th sailing and planning on using one on Slinky Dog, and then the other 2 at MK.

According to people who took this cruise last year, you can link the ticket they give you to your MDE account and actually make three FP+ reservations before you get to the parks that morning in addition to your 3 anytime Fastpasses. Once you use those three you can continue to make additional reservations based off availability. It sounds like last year everyone got their ticket cards the night before so most people linked it to MDE once of their bus to the parks. Of course there won't be great availability but it can still help save time.

Long story short: You'll get 3 anytime Fastpasses, and if you're familiar enough with MDE you can also link your ticket and make 3 reservations that follow standard FP+ procedures. This means you can start your day with 6 Fastpasses.

Would an annual pass holder get an additional 3 or would it just be a single day park hopper added to their account for when they no longer are an AP member?

I literally just did a lil' happy dance!:banana:This makes my life SO much easier!! Many thanks for the info!

@Quellman
The park tickets they give you are only good for that day and can not be saved to be used at a later date.

If you choose to use your AP you will not get the 3 anytime Fastpasses added to your AP. Must use the cruise ticket to enter the parks to get the 3 anytime Fastpasses.

You would need to use the AP to enter the park in order use FP+ scheduled on the AP. As PP mentions, then you wouldn’t have the FPs with the DCL ticket. Disney will lock your account if you try to use FP from a ticket that wasn’t used to enter the park.

Enjoy your cruise and day at WDW!

Just my opinion, but....I think you guys should be included in EMH. After all, you are spending the night in Disney accommodations!

wdw and DCL are two very different divisions of the Walt Disney Company, so they would not be considered the same for accommodations.

But you probably could use your DCL ticket to first enter the park and use those fast passes, the "leave the park" and use your AP to get in and then have those fast passes.

The buses that return you to the ship are timed for the park's regular closing time. So even if there was an EMH, the buses might not run that late.

This was our exact experience. We received our tickets the day before, were able to add them to our MDE, and book 3 regular fast passes. One thing to remember with those extra fast passes. It is essential that you use those during the exact times they are open. For example if you have a Soarin from 1pm to 2pm do not tap in outside of those times, because the system will use your VIP fast pass.

Something to keep in mind is that what worked last year may not be the same as what's available this year. Last year about a month before our November cruise, we had communication from DCL that we would *not* be getting separate 1-day parkhopper tickets and that our park entry media would be on our KTTW card. They indicated that these would not be able to be added to MDE.

This is not what actually happened on the ship - we did receive the tickets in our stateroom the night before our PC port stop, and other cruisers were able to add them to MDE and book fastpasses on the app on the way to the parks. But the notification from DCL was interesting, and indicates to me that DCL is working very hard to do away with the separate tickets for these itineraries. My guess (being in computer software) is that they did not get their systems working together in time for it to happen last year - but they've had a whole year since to get DCL and WDW systems to communicate better.

On the plus side, we did have park closing hours at a couple of the parks extended over our WDW day a week or two in advance, so keep an eye on the hours up until you leave for the ship as you may be able to extend your day.
