DCL embark question - bringing canned energy drinks in carry on (specifics please)

Hello DCL friends!

My husband loves a specific sugar free energy drink (red bull zero). It tastes VERY different thank, say, sugar free (SF) red bull. It's similar to the difference in taste to diet coke, coke zero, and diet Pepsi.

Do you know how many sealed cans of energy drinks we may bring on board in our hand held carry on bags? And also, if it's sealed, does it have to be a box? I ask because it comes in 24—packs, and we don't need THAT many for a six day cruise... But he does need his caffeine as much as a coffee drinker like me.

Thank you so much for your help!

How many cans do you want to bring? Canned soft drinks would be unlimited - well, within reason. They have to be in your carry on and checked in the port to make sure it’s not canned wine or more than 6 cans of beer. Does not have to be in a box. Maybe clear Zip Lock bags inside your carry on? You. A get the 2 gal Zip Locks that would hold maybe 4 or 6 cans? The easier they can be seen, the better.

24 is within reason. 100 might not be!

This is a great idea!

I'm probably looking at (12) cans of Red Bull Zero, and I could fit them into a mega-large clear ziploc bag and put them in the luggage we carry on the ship.

I was thinking about bringing on a bottle of wine for the room (just for me). Again, carry on and sealed
Any chance you know how I pack that for the carry on walk on embarking day?

Thanks for all the pixie dust help, friends!

Bubble wrap your wine and put it in another Zip Lock. If “they” want to make sure it’s wine and not whiskey, you can unwrap it but pretty sure they can tell. Or (still in a zip lock just in case) put it in a bag with bathing suits, jackets, anything cushioning.

I understand the Red Bull. I like caffeine free regular Coke or Pepsi. Couldn’t find it at all during Covid. Would love to bring some on my cruise but not enough to fly with it.

I love those 2 gallon Zip Locks (or equivalent). They really come in handy.

You're the best, thanks @Girl of the South for answering my question 🥰🙏🥰

We’re going to have to start doing this with Gatorade/Powerade. Used to be able to buy Powerade onboard, but it wasn’t available on the Magic last week - we were told they’re no longer stocking it. Only place that had it was Castaway Cay (not Lookout Cay).

They also sell Gatorade powder sticks (zero artic blue is our favorite). But I was counting on that too, thanks, we will stock up for the hot weather on the islands.
