DCL complaint and rebuttals on Ripoff Report!

Ok, when I saw "packaged donuts" I thought of those individually wrapped things from vending machines.

Yep...Krispie Kreme's onboard the Magic. When we sailed on the 2/7 we saw them taking them out of the boxes and putting them on the Topsider's buffet line....no problem with that...they were good. They must bring them onboard and then freeze them as they would not stay fresh all week otherwise!!!

Kcashner...we also were on the Maiden Voyage of the Magic....wow....what a cruise that was...problems and all on that first cruise we knew a good thing when we saw it!!!

Also, was she complaining because her steward was LARGE or just seeming to pursue her? If it really bothered her, she should have requested a steward change.

I wonder if this was her first cruise. Stewards have a LOT to do and try to clean your room when you are not there. DCL stewards seem to be great and trying to figure out your rhythm of being in/out of your room.

If this lady was in her room more than out....no wonder she kept running into him!

I would like to tell her to get a life. Out of 4 days she got a donut for breakfast? Big deal. She should have read her navigator and paid attention to all her options!

I dont feel sorry for her.

Yikes--I'm thinking w/ her attitude (tone in the complaint letter) whether he was "Large/huge" or not--the host would be steering CLEAR of her!! I've been in the hospitality industry (restaurants) for a while and DH is a Dir. of Operations for a Steakhouse Chain--so we have seen our share of people trying to get something free!! Don't get me wrong--there are always valid complaints where a customer is alerting you to let you know where your company failed and needs to improve--but if they are legit--they're usually very polite and get the point across in a more believable way. It's usually (but not always) the loud, beligerent people that are looking for a freebie. My husband and I have seen it all...............but that would take up a whole new thread!!

Wait? Krispy Kreme...on DCL...BE STILL MY HEART. Um what I meant to say is the person who wrote that "complaint" is obviously a troll or off their medication. I mean think about it. A "huge" cabin steward. DCL is so good, on our last two cruises the cabin sterwards were so unobtrusive I didn't see any, let a huge one with enough time and energy to make a move on someone. That letter writer must work for Universal or something.

It is a little bit off topic, but.. I was reading some reviews on AKL and found someone complaining. He suprised his wife and daughter with a trip to AKL for Christmas. Most of his complaint was about crowds and not being able to get reservations at any of the restaurants. Did he really think that Disney would NOT be crowded at Christmas?????

On a lark, I read through complaints about other cruise lines on that link- don't know if anyone else did - but, the first thing I noticed was how nice and polite the responses and defenses were to her complaint versus the derrogatory responses on the other lines. I see it on this board every day, but it's nice to see it elsewhere. Just reaffirms my belief in the magic of Disney and its fans!

Seems to me this woman must have just watched some re-runs of the Love Boat and gotten some ideas in her head like the pursor and head pursor! And what exactly is gruel?
