It seems that 2004 is a little soon to add a big nighttime spectacular to DCA for Disney. Tower will have to bring the crowds on it’s own, and they don’t want a big DCA show in 2005 to work against what they are preparing for DL the same year, so it looks like 2006 will be the right time to give DCA the nighttime show it’s been missing since opening day. From what we understand, the concet right now is to give it a Little Mermaid style storyline and they’ve hired a few people who worked on the big water fountain show at Belagio (Las Vegas) to develop this new show that will rely more heavily on water, lights and effects... and less on pyro.

Isn't this what we've been talking about since DCA Opened? They've got that lagoon just sitting in the middle of the park & they're doing nothing with it... OK, they've got Luminaria during the holidays, but it's not the greatest show.

I thought Luminaria was quite wonderful and charming in a quiet and mellow way. Unfortunately it has been pulled and will not show this year, or next from what it sounds like and when/if it reutrns it will be in a different form.

JMO, but I didn't think Luminaria was at that great. I guess I just expected "more" or something.

It deserves to be forgotten while they think up something that is appropriate for that particular location.

How could I be the first? When I was there, the crowd was small, bored, and disappointed. Feeble applause at the end from the few who remained.
It was tough to see, smokey, and stupid.
AND IT REALLY KILLS ME TO AGREE WITH AL PUTZ ABOUT ANYTHING!
