I am a complete newbie to DCA on this trip. How fast do the lines build after the park opens at 10? I'm going in mid-March - specifically interested in lines for Soarin, TSMM, GRR, California Screamin and MM.

Wondering if we hop parks at 9:30a to line up how bad the lines will be and if we can do these 5 rides before lunch around 11-11:30????

Want to avoid lines - but don't want to run either - trying to get a good balance.

Mid-March..... like before the 14th? or after....
Spring Breaks & longer hours, Annual Pass blackout days start to pick up around the 14th. (Spring Break in CA is April this year).

Lines for the attractions you mentioned, are the most popular & will get lines as soon as the park opens. Get a runner for your group to gather a FastPass on one attraction as you get in line for another.
Soarin' during busy times ALWAYS has a long line. Toy Story Mania is "new" to DCA & still gets long lines. If the weather is cooler, lines for GRR will be shorter. I would grab FP for Soarin' & head to Paradise Pier to ride TSMM, then California Screamin'.
That's just my opinion/suggestion.
Have a great trip!!

Get there at opening. Once inside, have a runner take everyone's tickets and get fastpasses for Soarin and Grizzly River Run. (Grizzly River Run's fastpass machines aren't connected to the rest of the system, so you can hold a GRR fastpass, and other fastpass machines at various attractions in DCA won't know it - hope that makes sense.)

Have the rest of the group, make a beeline for Toy Story Midway Mania. Your runner can join you in line when he/she gets there.....probably about 10 minutes after you.

It's possible that after riding Toy Story Midway Mania, your fastpass window may have opened up so you can get fastpasses for Screaming (since you're already in that section of the park), so make sure to check that before you leave the area so you can avoid backtracking. It'll depend on how long it takes you at Toy Story.)

Thanks! I'll plan on a little more of a challenge here and plan accordingly. Is MM a really tough one too?

Hoping they disconnect GRR again -saw on another post they had hooked it into the system :(

TSMM's line builds the fastest after park opening. The lines for Screamin and Soarin both don't get long until about 11, but they both build pretty rapidly. MM's line shouldn't get that long until later, so you shouldn't worry about that. GRR's line depends on the weather, but it shouldn't be that bad in the morning.
