We were at DCA on Sunday. Arrived at 7:00 for the 8:00 am regular opening. It was an EMH day at DCA for Disney hotel guests. However there were a couple CMs at the non-EMH turnstiles that started passing out EMH passes to those of us waiting for the regular rope drop.

Nice little bit of pixie dust...I have an AP, so no MM and was staying across the street on Harbor, so no EMH.

Anyone else experience this?

someone two weeks ago or so posted about the same entry magic......must be some pixie dust in those walls around Paradise pier...but once that dust settles I wouldn't expect it to continue blowing around

LOL...would be nice though! That and the no bag line for security!

I am wondering if it was a particularly slow day for EMH crowd wise. I would almost think resort guests might be a little miffed if they knew about this considering the price they pay to stay onsite. However, a handful of people are not going to change lines that much - maybe it's a way to get people in, make them realize how great it is and have them decide to stay onsite next time around?

It did seem like a low crowd day...especially at 7:00 am. Felt a little lonely there that early. Which was fine by me. :-)

Love that you got pixie dusted but I have to admit as a hotel guest I would not have been happy about Disney just handing those out. Haven't seen it mentioned before so hopefully it's something they used as a "pixie dust" chance and it will stay a rare event.

I wouldn't mind if it's just a handful of people each day - either the first to arrive or just random people the CMs pick. But if they give them to everyone and do this on a regular basis, word will get out and more people will start showing up early expecting to get in, and that would definitely not be fair to the hotel guests.

Nothing to do with the walls. I experienced it happening during my Easter 2016 trip too. It were maybe half a dozen people selected by the CMs to go in.

I would agree with the explanation "Pixie Dust chance." It was one of the last nights the Mad T Party was running and the people who got to go in were all fans.
