We went to DCA and Cars Land on 6/15/12. All three attractions are mostly accessible. You must be able to transfer into the ride vehicles on all three attractions. There are no special ride vehicles for those who can not transfer.
Radiator Springs Racers: They have a special loading/unloading for wheelchair/ECV/walkers. They pull out of the line before you get to the main loading area. I (scooter user) loved it since I could take my time getting in and out of the cars. The car then goes onto the main track and returns to the wheelchair entrance/exit. GAC with alternate entrance will be accommodated. The queue is wheelchair accessible for those with no fastpass or GAC.
Luigi's Flying Tires: This is a slow moving line. There are no fastpasses. There is a special ramp for those who need help transfering into the tire or can not step over the tire. Inkl mrrrxperience, when i was theretm the GAC alternate entrance is at the exit of the attraction. The main line is wheelchair accessible from what I could see. I drove my scooter right on to the floor of the ride and a CM took the scooter to the exit. I didn't use the ramp so I don't know how that works when the ride is oe ver. I may try it tomorrow to see what happens."
All in all I think they did a good job with the accessibility. Hope this will help those who will be visiting Cars Land.
Mater's Junkyard Jamboree: This is also a wheelchair accessible queue. There are two loading areas for the attraction so this can move a bit faster. For this I also drove my scooter to the exit my
Eself and then got in our tractor (my DD was already waiting for me). I can walk short distances and just went to the exit without bring the scooter back in. For those who can do short distances, someone in your party can get the wheelchair or scooter. If alone, I would think a CM would be able to retrieve the chair. The GAC alternate entrance is just down a bit from the regular line and there is a CM manning that line. It is NOT at the exit.
Bathrooms: I only visited one bathroom. There are two family/hc/companion bathrooms before you get to the the regular bathrooms. Just looked at the map and I only see one bathroom in Cars Land.
Disneyland: The Matterhorn... The new bobsleds are up and running. The queue is wheelchair accessible. I found the bobsled hard to get in and out of since there is less room. The seat back fits snug so you don't bounce around as much. I sat in the middle seat and DD had the front. We will be reversing that next time. The GAC alternate entrance and Single Rider line is near the Fantsyland side across from the Tea Cups.
I think they did a good job with the accessibility on the opening day and it will get better at the CM's get into the routine of things. Hope this will help those who will be visiting Cars Land.
