DC Trainer for the day question

My DH was thinking of booking this for my birthday next year (we have been to DC before) but I have a fear of birds (don't laugh).

Do you have to do the bird feeding part during the day or do you think if I explained why, I could miss that bit out?

I happened to call them yesterday with a similar question. We are going this August, and I was afraid the TFD would be 'over scheduled'. I want to be sure we have enough time to enjoy the things we like the most (like the sting ray pool). I asked if it was possible to skip parts of the day, such as the aviary. The person on the ohone said no, you stay with the trainer until 4 (free time is 4-5:30). I would think, though, if you explained your situation they would make arrangements. I'd give them a call.
