DC monster is tamed!

Host_Hula came into the pirate game lobby and said she had something to tell us, and for us to please pass it on. She said that vmk has found and fixed the problem that made us dc! I believe she said it was something to do with the lines or connection or some such animal. She did say, however, that we may still have occasional interruptions due to other issues. Yay!

Earlier today, I saw Phinny in the Haunted Mansion stretching room and I didn't know why she was in there. She was probably telling everyone the same thing and I just came in a split second too late.

Hooray! I figured that was the case because I just played 4 straight games of fireworks and didn't get disconnected; before I've always gotten it after the 2nd game. Still, old habits die hard-- I'm not brave enough to attempt 5 games in a row without a refresh.

So it is true. Yesterday I was suprised I didn't get dc and I was on for 3 hours. Too bad though, I can't get a DC land shirt.

That is fantastic. I thought maybe it was because we got more memory for our computer. I dc'ed once yesterday in a busy HM game but other than that, I haven't had any problems. I've been able to get much more involved with vmk now that this has been fixed.

Oh that's great! Now I won't be feeling the need to act silly testing how
long I could go without dc, like I did in Hula's room during Pirate month.

But I do enjoy acting silly. Who needs an excuse?

about the only good thing about the dc monster was that it let you know when to get up and walk around while you refreshed . but now without that reminder i'm ending up with sore legs and a full bladder...but hey, i can play fireworks all day, and i don't have to log out to go to the bathroom anymore Thanks VMK!!!

The only time tonight I dc'd was when the game crashed for me -- not the normal dc every 30-minute thing. Good job vmk! Thanks for fixing this problem!

Yay! I noticed I hadn't gotten dc in awhile. Now if only I could get Firefox to quit crashing on my laptop I'd be all set.

This should make host games both more difficult (because people in line won't dc, so it'll be more difficult to get in line) and easier (because you won't dc in line) to get into.

Haha, so true. Its a mixed blessing really, but I really like this whole not dc'ing in host games while the host is dc (like what happened to me today). It was just not worth it to get into host games bc I would dc very often but now its going to be alot better, and fireworks will be much easier to play

I was on yesterday for about 2hrs straight just hanging out in one of my rooms. I would get up occasionally and move from chair to chair. Also we did a lot of playing around with the new Tron porters... I didn't dc once! Oh that's nice!

All I can say is... THANK YOU SO MUCH STAFF!!! I have been trying to get credits in fireworks, and literally got disconnected (Wow! I said the whole word!) every 2 games. I noticed a few days ago and was even telling people that I went 4 hours, with no dc. When I just read this, I realized I was right! They finally tamed that wild beasts that hates vmkkind!

Without dc, how will I know when to get off and go outside for once though...? The lines for host games take a lot longer, but you don't have to worry about DC hardly at all in it. So I guess that will be my time for other things.
