How many hours should we plan for a day at Discovery Cove? Of course we want to do it all and get the max from an exciting and very expensive day.

TIA :goodvibes

we have gone 3 times and always stated from open to close 9-5:30, i believe! And 2 of those times were without the dolphin swim, so there's plenty to do (pls a lot of time relaxing in a lounge chair :))

I was wondering because I was thinking of making dining reservations for the night but maybe we will just grab something quick after the long day :confused3

It really didn't seem like a long day, to me. Because you're alternating between swimming or snorkeling and relaxing. Maybe it would be if you're bringing kids with you though. Then you do have to do some work... :)

We got there at 8. While the attractions are not open yet, you can check in, get your vests and lockers and eat breakfast. We stayed until 5.

Plan on spending the entire day for the most relaxing time. This is not a theme park with schedules and rushing. It is floating and laying around and wandering and pampering.

So no ADR for that night...We will stay is long as we want then go back to the resort for a counter service...

Thanks for the great information :goodvibes

We got there before 8:00 and like the earlier poster mentioned it was nice because we were able to go right in and get breakfast and then we went on to find out cabana and get aquainted with everything. I think the park is technically open until 5:30. Unfortunatly we didn't get to enjoy the last hour of our day because of a bad thunderstorm but we were told that sometimes they will hold the park open a little longer in those situations. We thought about waiting it out but my feet just didn't want to cooperate with me that day and we decided to leave at around 5:15.
You definatly want to stay from open to close to enjoy this park.
