Private cabana (elite package) worth it at discovery cove?

We are going in August 2013 and booked that same package. Here's a link to a post where Gina had uploaded many pictures for me.

I think it's worth it so far (even though we haven't gone yet). We have a place for my family and Mom (in her sixty's) to be. Drinks and snacks provided. A special buoy brought to our boys. and pictures - already paid for ... no decision stress for me on whether to get them or not.

We loved our cabana for our summer visit (August 2012). We had a very hot, bright, sunny day and it was pure pleasure to be able to get out of the sun at our leisure in the afternoon and enjoy a little siesta after frolicking in the water all morning. It was the ultimate indulgence to make our day of relaxation exactly that. We did not have a dolphin swim that day, so we weren't having to work our activities around that commitment.

For our first visit (January 2012) we did the dolphin swim and while the weather was gorgeous, it was not stifling hot. We had no cabana and didn't feel we needed it then.

If we go back again some day, I would definitely rent a cabana if the budget allows. We loved having a home base to return to that was private and cool. We also loved the pampering of our personal attendant....she was awesome and tended to everything we needed.

We were there Christmas Day this year and had the Cabana and the package. It was definately worth it. This was our third trip to DC and our first with a cabana. I think we will always have one when we go in the future. It just took a very special day and made it even more special. The ability to have those moments of privacy and the extra service that comes with the cabana, priceless.
