DC Book Swim on the day?

We have never done DC before and we unfortunately left it too late to book the swim for me and DD. Has anyone ever heard of being able to sign up to swim on the day if people don't turn up or cancel? We are going August so clearly should have booked several months ago!

The entire month of August is available for two people if you include the dolphin experience and only August 13 is unavailable to book if you don't include the dolphins. Actually the rest of the year is available to book for 2 people. Every day Discovery Cove is open has availability. No need to wait until the day of, book your visit today.

Sorry I should have made that clearer, it's fully booked from the UK. We priced up booking direct with DC but we can't justify the cost (exchange rate is not great at the moment) . We have booked non-swim tickets for all four of us as again they were getting booked up from the uk. I just wondered if they do upgrades on the day if there is availability?

When we went in early May you are given a mini orientation after checking in. The area where you check in for the dolphin swin was pointed out and my youngest said we weren't doing the swim. Much to my annoyance, the staff member replied that there are still openings and you can sign up for a spot there as well.

If there are dolphin-swim spaces available when you are checking in for your day, they will happily upgrade your tickets. Be sure to ask for the upgrade, the person doing your checkin might forget to offer; they process a lot of guests in a very short period of time and can easily get stressed.

Perhaps if you keep checking DC's website you might be able to switch things around if swim times open between now & then?
