Daytona Beach in Feb.

Just wondering if at the end of Feb. it will be warm enough to swim at Daytona Beach... thanks... going Feb. 21 and thought we might go to the bech for a day if it is warm enough...thanks...amy

sometimes it is...sometimes it isn't.

Sorry I can't be more specific, but the weather can vary a lot that time of year. Generally the daytime high is not more than 70-75. It can also be cool and foggy as it was one year for a week when I was there. (foggy by the beach, but sunny just a couple miles inland at the speedway.)

We spent some time at Cocoa Beach last year during Presidents week and my kids went swimming and thought nothing of it. I think it's what you're use to. Us being from the Northwest- 70 to 75 at that time of year felt pretty warm.

Please be aware that there is a NASCAR race in DAB around mid-February just in case you were planning to stay a night in the DAB area instead of a daytrip. Have a great trip.

Nascar race (Daytona 500) is Feb. 16, which the two weeks before it being 'speed weeks'. Everyone will be cleared out of town by the 21st - so you should be safe.
First week in March is Bike Week when thousands of bikers descend on Daytona (another time to avoid, unless you are a biker .)
