Daytime crowds at MK on Halloween?

What are the crowds like during the day at MK on Halloween ? Do people usually go all day & stay for the Halloween Party at night or will the daytime crowds be light due to the separate ticket required for the Halloween Party?

We only have the one day available to visit this park but, if it is going to be overrun due to the nighttime celebration, I wonder if we're better off visiting Epcot that day (although the Food & Wine fest is going on then so we might have the same problem).

Appreciate any insight anyone can provide!

It seems that MK crowds are somewhat lighter during the day when either the Halloween or Christmas Party is scheduled for that day.

Two theories (and it is probably a combination of both): 1) an earlier closing time at MK (6pm) and no fireworks or Spectro is likely to cause families to choose another park that day, and 2) Party goers are somewhat likely to choose another daytime park, go back to resort to get dressed and then go to the party.

One thing to remember, this year Halloween is on a Sunday, which is the EE day for MK. So I would expect the daytime crowds to be higher due to it being an EE day.

Hmm...conflicting information here...:p Thanks for the advice!

Anyone else able to weigh in or speak from experience about the crowds on Halloween?

Can't help you other than to say we're going to try it. I'm going with the theory that most will not be going during the day do to going in the evening. If it gets crowded we will just leave at noon and come back another day. It's such a guessing game. Good luck!!

Thanks, that's what we're hoping for too. I'm thinking that those with little kiddies will want to keep them resting up at the hotel during the day so they aren't too tired for the evening festivities.

I guess we'll just have to take our chances if we decide to go...we'll be leaving the next day so it's our only chance to go to MK.
