Daysinn suites old town

We will be traveling as a family to universal in June for my sons graduation, I try to be as economical as possible on these trips so that they can do more (large family) any how, after months of searching, I reserved a week at days inn suites old town. Has anyone been there? If so, can you let me know if they were o.k.? I got the room at a wonderful rate of 49.00 per nite, plus the exorbiant tax rate of course. We don't plan on being in the room often, I just want to make sure it's suitable for little children (cleanliness etc.) Thanks in advance for any help that can be given.

Honestly I have friends who have booked there and left for other hotels. They said it was disgusting! (they are not picky picky either and have stayed in many a budget hotel.)

Now, I've read on these boards that some people say its ok. I never stayed there but I did book it for our first trip, read horrible reports and cancelled. We drove by it and were glad we were not staying there. (There is an old side and a newer side maybe that would make a difference. I dont know.) Do a search or check the Orlando attractioins and hotels board. You'll definetely find some reviews. Check tripadvisor.com too.


sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear but there are plenty of decent hotels at good rates. Keep researching. Good Luck!

Please! Don't do it! Booked two rooms, old and new. Both were
horrible! One had black stuff oozing out from underneath the tub
mat. Checked out and the desk clerk didn't bat an eye! Guess this wasn't unusual for the clerk.

There is a reason it is only $49 per night.

We stayed there many, many years ago..because we needed a great rate with the kids, and the extra room.

It was ok then...toilet backed up, mice all over old town, wouldn't stay again.
