I have to agree, what happened to Marlena's acting? Oh...she took lessons from John Seriously though, I've been liking John more lately. The only one worth watching right now is Sami. Hope they give her a big storyline soon, crying is about to lose its appeal.
Oh and welcome WI_DisneyFan My DH is a closet DAYS fan. He won't miss an episode, even when I just can't stand to sit through it

For Sami it's more what hasn't she done After Lucas broke off their wedding and Sami was devasted she tried to move on to the next best thing. Austin...again. Sami would never admit she still loved and wanted Lucas, and that watching Lucas make a fool of himself with Carrie drove her nuts...no our girl Sami decided to drown her sorrows in going after Austin again. And of course, Austin only had eyes for Carrie as did Lucas. Carrie was wavering between Austin and Lucas, so Sami decided to tip the scales in Lucas' favor by blackmailing Lexie (who was having an affair with Tek) to make Lexie do something to keep Austin and Carrie apart. Lexie told Carrie that if she and Austin had children together they would be born with birth defects. So Carrie married Lucas because he'd proven himself able to father a healthy kid. And Austin chose to propose to Sami...again. Only Sami was blackmailed by the black gloved Brady hater and she left Austin standing at the alter, because she didn't want to lose Will. And in the end it all came out anyway..thanks to the gloved one, and Sami has lost everyone. But don't count Sami out..I think they're gonna grow her up and we're gonna get some good DAYS watching from this girl, if they'll dump the new writer who doesn't know our beloved DAYS characters All in all, we still love this show, but feel we need to petition the Dis Board DAYS fans to take over writing the scripts

I read it on Justin47's website that Alice Horton's great grandson will be arriving on Nov. 7. He is the son of Jessica & Joshua Fallon ( Marie Horton's daughter). His name is Nick Falllen played by Blake Berris. a new love interest for Chelsea.

....and he's extremely near-sighted. Why do they insist on pushing Chelsea as a star?

Sami also knew that Carrie owned High Style and deleted that email to Austin. Must be nice to blackmail and do so many illegal things and not get thrown in jail. I know her daddy is a cop but so is Chelsea's and at least she gets taken to the police station.

The new Shawn is getting on my nerves, who selected him? They boy mumbles...he is an awful actor.

Now, we have another DNA switch involving Patrick and Hope...gee there's a new storyline.

The whole Max Brady thing is confusing, now he doesn't want anything to do with Stephanie. Where is this going?

Whatever happened to an actual story...you know...a life lesson?

These writers are really pushing the younger kids up front. Shaun, Mimi, Chelsea, Willow, etc. arent the best actors for these roles. I miss the days when Days of our Lives was about couples, Marlena and Roman, Mickey and Maggie, Neil and Liz, even though they didnt always stay together there were at least some stable parts of the show. Now its a mess. You cant tell who is with who anymore. The stuff between Bo and hope is a disaster. I still cant get used to Adrienne being Bonnie, and Chris Kostacheck being Roman, (i am so confused!! )

I know, why do we still watch it!! I also have been watching Days for a very long time, inbetween college, jobs, babies, I still tried to keep up. I think alot of the shows try to go for the young audience now. I cant believe Sammi and Lucas son, how much they aged him. Do you remember when Sammi kidnapped Belle because she was jealous of her, Sammi was a teen and Belle was a baby, now they are the same age!

I remember when Philip was born b/c I was engaged and they named Philip the same name as my DH (Philip Michael). I thought it was neat. Anyway, I have been married for 11 years. Now, the Days Philip has already been to war, gotten married and had kids.

Oh, and Shawn was born forever ago, but they have Philip the same age, if not older than him .

I can't imagine how they can actually age any of these characters considering it stays the same day for, what, two weeks .

or at least I think I do. They have us hooked on a character or charters that we really like and enjoy seeing on the screen and just can't let go. I love John (I know I am in the minority), and Bo. I used to love Marlena and Hope but these days can't even stand the sight of them. Mickey and Maggie were great, and naturally Jack and Jennifer. When the were regulars I loved Patch and Kayla, still love Patch, Kayla she is too much of an old lady, not sure what they are doing to her, I loved Stefano and hope he comes back (Tony also) and Victor. Sami and Lucas. I better stop before you know it I will be mentioning that I love everyone on the show !! Well probably true I just don't like THE WRITES AND STORY LINE AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO OUR BELOVED DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Now that I read this post my heading makes no sense. Sorry all.

I've been watching Days for 24 years now (I'm 34) and I've been through the best and the worst with this show. I have seen an improvement in the dialogue lately and I noticed that the character interaction is different, which I've enjoyed. The scenes with John and Marlena on Tuesday's show (where she was kidnapping Patrick's cell phone) were pretty cool and normally I fast forward through those scenes. The one thing you have to remember is that this new writer's work is just starting. He has to end all of those horrible storylines that Reilly had before he can pursue all of his new ideas. You can't just start fresh, unfortunately, so he has to tie up the loose ends to get things where he needs them to be in order to move forward. He was left with a mess to clean up and I bet things are much different 6 months from now....at least I hope so!

Only in soap land can you get your marriage annulled in one week and get remarried I just can't figure out what is up with Marlena? Has Diedre Hall gotten emotional in her old age of what? Marlena is so over the top dramatic these days. I'm liking John much more, he is more in character than he has been the last few years. I hate Shawn. Hope needs a slap of memory up side the head and Kate needs her Vampira costume back from the cleaners. We DO NOT want to see Sami in bed with EJ UGH! It's got to get better....doesn't it?

UGH to this whole show lately. I know that everyone says the new writers need time to piece everything together but it seems to me that it is becoming more of a mess. Now if Bo and Hope get together again, with him just giving in after all his begging, that's too much. I think at the very least Hope has to hear some real words from Bo's heart, not just that he loves her, but ask how she could have doubted him and put all her trust in Patrick. There's just so much more to fix but I sure don't see any improvement, yet. I agree that I do not want to see Sami and EJ sleep together. And please tell me, what mother out there would permit her daughter to speak about her as Chelsea did yesterday, all Billie does is stand there and say Chelsea don't, then once Steve leaves Chelsea continues to lace into her mother and Billie says NOTHING. It's crazy. If I had a daughter talk like that and treat me that way her bags would be packed so fast it would not be funny. Then again I am from the "old school".
