Days of our Lives Watchers

I always liked Wayne as Roman. He has a rugged sort of quality that Drake has never had. I used to like Drake more, but the cocked eyebrow is getting to me.

Somehow I didn't catch that Wayne was coming back and I gasped when the doctor came on screen yesterday. My DD said "what's wrong?" :rotfl: I just wasn't expecting his face! Hope he sticks around, but what's with them bringing back old actors as different characters. It's sort of confusing to us old timers.

This won't be easy! But, here goes!.....

Roman Brady was played by actor Wayne Northrop in the 80's (and early 90's I think). Wayne left the show...
Then..
Roman Brady was played by actor Drake Hogestyn until they figured out that he wasn't really Roman Brady, he was really John Black.
Then...
Roman Brady came back and was played by Josh Taylor, who plays him now. (What is more confusing is Josh Taylor used to play Chris Kositchek! That character is no longer on the show)

So! There are 3 different actors on the Days that have all played Roman Brady at one time or another! Confused? :confused3 I know I am!! :teeth:

I wish Wayne Northrop would end up being the REAL Roman Brady, but I have a feeling he is going to just be someone from Marlana's past. That way they can still use the old clips in flashbacks....

thanks
i wonder who the roman played by josh taylor will end up being.. he couldn't go back to being chris beacuse wouldn't people have noticed this??

I don't know, but I think Josh Taylor will end up staying the real Roman....I just WISH it would end up being Wayne Northrop.

As for Josh Taylor going back to playing Chris Kositchek and people noticing.... I always wondered why Marlana didn't notice that Roman grew about 4 inches when she thought Drake Hogestyn was the real Roman! :confused3 :teeth:

Sometimes I wish for the old days when we didn't know so many spoilers. I know I could chose to not read them but :rolleyes1

Problem with most of these shows is they forget about us old timers.... :( :(

So true... I have been watching this show as long as I can remember. My grandmother was ill and lived with us, she loved soaps. We would sit together and watch The Doctors and then Days of our Lives. I was 5 years old..... sigh....

I watched the Doctors too.

I'm a soapie from way back whenI was a kid. I think I watched all of them at one point. Those were the days when they told real stories that went on maybe 2 years but you still turned in every day. They moved slow but they were beautiful stories to be heard.

Wow! We are oldies!! :flower: I can't believe you watched The Doctors too! I was sad when it went off the air. I guess because it reminded me of my Grandma.

Remember when they went from 30 minutes to an hour?

The only one I have watched regularly is Days. Although my roommate in college watched General Hospital, so I got to see the whole Luke and Laura thing! That was fun!

(By the way, the guys in college were worse than the girls at insisting on watching the soaps! They would never admit it, but we caught them all the time watching at the frat houses!!)

I was happy when my girls got old enough to watch them, I felt like I was passing on a family tradition!!

my DH & his brother are the ones who can't let go of Days. I stopped watching for quite a while. They always go back for more.

Hmmmm.... I think Doc will not recover her memory and will instead fall in love with Dr. North - who has returned to Salem to rekindle his old romance with her!! After she is pregnant with HIS child... then she'll get her memory back.

Oh my gosh! I started watching The Doctors with my grandmother over the summer when I was in third grade. After I was hooked, I started watching Days with her as well. It's a small world. :teeth:

I'm thinking we all started watching with our Grandmother's. Mine loved Another World, but I could never get into that one.

Who remembers, "Young Dr. Malone, Secret Storm, Guiding Light (when it was 15 minutes), and The Edge of Night?

Farah Fath (Mimi) is on contract until Feb. 2006
I'm glad Mimi isn't leaving, she is my favorite teen (or 20 something) at the moment. :flower: Maybe she and Shawn will end up together??

I think Young Dr. Malone went off the are in the spring of '65.

Now why do I know that and have no idea where my hat is.
