Hey Disney pals!!

I'm looking to book the first few nights of my June trip at this hotel on Sand Lake Road. I had seen some good rates on Travelocity but this, Expedia and even Days Inn themselves are saying it isn't available to book - does this mean it is full??

Any advice and tips would be welcomed.

Thanks
Nick

According to another disneyforum, this hotel has now been sold, and the
New Owners are closing the property down.

Noooooooooo!!! :earseek:

Oh well - I guess I need those AP codes more than ever now - is staying on Disney property for the full two weeks of my holiday too much?!

Anyone care to recommend another reasonably priced hotel in and around I-Drive?

Thanks

Nick

DON'T DO IT!!!

This is the worst hotel ever. We stayed here for our first holiday to Florida and we had to endure two weeks at the place, the rooms were shabby to say the least, the staff unhelpful and miserable. The brochure states just off international drive when in fact it is a good 10 minute walk to international drive and you have to cross some busy roads.

Glad to hear its being closed down.

I fully appreciate it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I found it ideal for what I need in a hotel - a lockable door and a bed!! For the money I thought it would be fine for the first little part of our holiday - I guess I'm just going to have to stay at Disney for the whole stay!!  (as long as I can get an AP code for my stay in early June......come on where are they!?!?!?)

Any recommendations on where to stay? :confused3

:teeth: :teeth: Hmm, our last two visits were at the Sheraton World Resort, got a good rate through their website and then with the Hilton over the road from Seaworld. I have had a good rate with the Sleep Inn on International Drive, good location too.

Try www.hotels.com there are loads of good rates there.

Hope this helps.

Lisa

P.S Two weeks on Disney Property sounds great to me, don't fight it!!! :teeth:

but it's a struggle......... :earsboy:

I'll have to have a good look around - I'm just worried that when the AP rates comes out, I'll not be able to get it for the full two weeks - I might break it up into a week at Pop and then a week at ASMo.

Will have to just have a good look around!!

If it helps there is a company called OLP Travel. They are a disney travel company and when we went in December we had an annual pass and they constantly check the dates, discounts etc and whats available. It may be worth giving them your details, when you want to go and what you are looking for. With them having up to date details of disney properties its so much easier for them to check / chase / research then us.

Their website is http://www.ourlaughingplace.com/olpdefault.asp

we satyed here last year and had booked to go there this year but they have sold it as of may and the new owners are not keeping it as a hotel so at the moment we don't know where we're staying.
