days at sea and rain?

The captain does everything he can to avoid storms....This will be our 4th cruise in August/Sept and only had light rain on the sail away party once. I have seen storms in the distance while at sea, but that's all. IF it would rain, there is TONS to do inside...spa, bingo, adult classes, palo's and the lsit goes on and on..::yes::

not on our cruise. only a brief 10-15 minute shower in St. Maarten at about 2 in the afternoon. only rain all cruise.

Rain happens. Especially during the summer and huricanne months. Usually the rain is much warmer than any shower I would take so I'm ahead. We live where it rains A LOT. If some you couldn't do anything because of a little rain - nothing would get done around here:D

Like others have said, they try to steer the ship clear of any rain. Sometimes they have no choice. They move sail away parties in doors and sometimes add additional activities.

Rain will not ruin your trip. Unless of course, its heavy and constant. We cruise to get away from that!! If it rained non stop on the cruise - I'd be disapointed - but still be glad to be in the caribbean!

On our Eastern Caribbean trip in November 2002, we had rain on our second at sea day. We woke up and it was pouring. BUT -- big difference than sitting at home and watching it rain. We sat out on Deck 4 and watched the rain hit the deck and the ocean and watched storm clouds in the distance. It was AMAZING. The ship was not affected by it turbulance-wise. Then, lo and behold, we came out of bingo and it was sunny! We found out that night at the show that the captain had steered several miles off course just to find us sunshine.

So no matter what happens at sea, it will be a much different site and feeling than if you were watching it on land. Can't stop the weather -- so just enjoy it for what it is.:sunny:
