Help a newbie DVC member. Are there any discounts for day passes to the parks (WDW)? We are stay at the BWVs for two day before our DCL cruise and what to visit the parks. Thanks.

Not as a DVC member, the only ticket discount is for an AP. You could discounted tickets from Undercover Tourist.

Discounts on 1-2 day tickets are close to impossible to find. The discounted resellers generally do not sell those tickets, or sell them for the same price or more than Disney (apparently Disney does not give the resellers discounts on those short tickets).

In the past, there has been a charitable donation/ticket package offered through FL Hospital (I think that's the name of the hospital) or maybe somewhere like AAA might have a discount on a shorter ticket, but I don't know that.

If you go in the fall or around Christmas the 2 hard ticket events are cheaper than a real ticket.

That's a really good tip if / when the dates align.

With tickets to MNSSHP or MVMCP you can get into the Magic Kingdom at 4pm and stay til closing which is usually midnight or later. Just about all of the attractions are open--typically with short lines--and you get the exclusive party events, too.
