OK...time to check in, and Coranado is HUGE!!!!!!!!I dont mean in being spread out, I mean in its size....the ceiling is WAYYYYYYYY up there, and the desk is longer than I imagine..I am train weary, the wife and kids are starved....and I feel like I havent had a shower in five weeks.
Check in is smooth(I am the only one in line when I walk in..passporter in hand......OH...absolutely get the passporter if you can..it is a fantastic tool for a Disney trip...highly reccomend it!!)
The woman behind the counter does her best to get us rooms(we have two)but only one is available for immediate checkin...I take it, and we go to the room,we get Ranchos 7b ...room 7765(which is my birthdate...July 7 1965!! I shower...everyone is famished.. so we walk back to the Pepper Market with our Q+C vouchers in hand.
Now, I wondered if these vouchers were worth it...and I can say absolutely!!!We never found ourselves with clean plates...the Pepper Market gives you so much food....it is amazing.
One more thing...the Coranado is big....very big.We finally figure it all out....but even the bus stop that is local is a little bit of a walk..but when your eating dessert every meal(thanks to the Q+C vouchers) those walks were very good for us.
We eat our full...and we go to our first park...MAGIC KINGDOM!!!
MK is bustling with activity...it is Sunday, and theres lots of folks, but I expect that, and tell the kids to enjoy it....it is afterall day one, and we have plenty of vacation left.
We go straight to HM, and the kids eyes all light up....ahhhhhhh, heres that Disney magic....we follow it up with IASW, and my son and his buddy are determined to not enjoy this ride...my little one is enthralled with the ride..she loves the dolls, and says her imaginary friend lives here....LOL...she then points out one of the Asia dools on the left hand side near the boat, and says thats her!!
Meanwhile, my son and his friend are terrified the dolls will come to life and bring them through the doorway I point out to them....(Yes, I do tell my son and his friend that the dolls are evil...we all know that, but I dont tell the youngest).
Just as my son is thinking he is safe, he sees the air ballon with one of the dolls holding the HELP sign, and now he is sure that this is the gateway to the underworld...I have them going all through this....and it is a great experience!!!
(Hey, at least the boys actually enjoy small world..they didnt whine at all about it)
It was time to backtrack, and went to the wifes favorite...BTMRR...the kids loved this, and wanted more...we then hit Splash....again a favorite...then the boys wanted something a bit more thrilling.....so I agree to do a little more backtracking, and off to Tommorowland.
As we get nearer to Toontown..I remember about Goofys barnstormer..so we go on that..the kids are now in a blissful state.
We continue onto Tommorowland, and the kids(with the exception to the youngest and myself) go on Space.I check out the pins at the cart..oh oh..Im getting into the pin thing, I buy everyone a pin...the kids and wife rejoin us, and the girls all go to Buzz, while the boys all go to Alien encounter.
The boys love this, but want more ...they think its too tame..LOL.
The girls love Buzz.....but its getting late, we are all tired from the road...so its time for us to say goodnight to MK...we go to the bus, and as will be for most of the trip, there is a bus waiting for us to board.
We go back, eat, and go to the pool...but find out that the pool slide is already closed by the time we get there..the kids are a bit disappointed, but quickly recover.Theres always tommorow, or the next day, or the next, to go on the slide.
We call, get our second room...7768...boys hit their room, girls hit theirs, and everyone falls off into the sleep we all desperatly need!!
Next up...AK, Breakfastosaurus, TL, and MGM/Fantasmic
