I wanted to share our experience during the day on a Halloween party day. When I researched this, I had a hard time finding experiences. My husband, 2 kids (7 and 11) had a wonderful time on tues 10/3. We didn't attend the party.

We didn't have EMM. We did buy maxpass, which was 100% worth it and AWESOME! I didn't bother with wifi and used data and had reception everywhere. We were able to get everything in that we wanted to and even got to ride space mountain x2 and Indiana jones x2 with fast passes each time. With maxpass, I was able to easily book and held 2-3 at a time! Crowds weren't bad until 12ish.

We arrived at 7:30am. I booked my first maxpass at 7:30 for Indiana jones For 8:30a. Here's what we were able to do (times approx):

8:00a: haunted mansion-walk on
8:15a: splash mountain-walk on
8:20a: Winnie the Pooh-walk on
8:40: pirates-5 min wait
9:00a: Indiana jones-with fast pass

10:00a: space mountain-with fast pass
10:30a: buzz lightyear-5 min wait
10:45am: star tours- with fast pass
11:15am: Matterhorn- with fast pass
11:30am: nemo -20 min wait

12:30pm: Alice -20 min wait
12:45pm: small world-3-5 min wait
1:30pm: Peter Pan-25-30 min wait
1:45pm: Snow White-walk on
2:00pm: Pinocchio -walk on

2:30pm: roger rabbit- fast pass
2:50pm: go gadget roller coaster- 15min wait

3pm: space mountain- with fast pass

We watched the parade at 3:30pm

4pm: Indiana jones- with fast pass
4:30pm: jungle cruise-15 min wait

We left at 5:30pm. I was amazed at how EMPTY disneyland was 8a-11a. We were able to accomplish a lot and all because of the ease of maxpass! Loved loved loved it! We didn't bother with characters and concentrated on rides.

I wanted to post this because I'd likepeople to know it's ok to go on an early closure day as long as you come at rope drop, use fast pass, and have a plan. I was worried about not having enough time, but we did. Although at the end, we were all absolutely exhausted!

Wow! What day of the week was this? Those Fantasyland waits for Alice and PP mid-day are amazing!

To me, a Party day reminds me of a typical summer day. Very slow in the morning so you can get some stuff done. Then the parks get crowded fast. We switched over to DCA around 1pm. I had a friend meet up with us that day and he said that they tried coming over around 4pm and it took 15 minutes to get through the gate. And I guess the lines got longer the closer we got to 7pm. It certainly did make DCA feel like it was a Holiday. WOC line ups were the most pushing and shoving I've ever seen. It was like a giant mosh pit, only to Ariel's Under the Sea music playing.

Thanks for the mini report! It is nice to have info about the day of a party experience. We are going on a party day, and not attending the party later this month. Anyone have any idea what time WOC might run out on a party day? I guess we should send a runner over after we scan through DL.
