What are the chances of getting BWV for October 2008 at 7 months? I know this is a popular time because of F&W.

Also, if I book SSR at 11 months and do a day-to-day for BWV at 7 months, how do they work it with the points?

What are the chances of getting BWV for October 2008 at 7 months? I know this is a popular time because of F&W.

Chances for either a standard view or a guaranteed Boardwalk view are poor.

Chances of a PV-Pool/Garden view are about 50/50. I'd call day by day because so many members want to stayn at the EPCOT resorts during the FOod & Wine Festival.

Also, if I book SSR at 11 months and do a day-to-day for BWV at 7 months, how do they work it with the points?

I will assume you do not have enough points to hold the SSR reservation until the BWV reservation is completed.

If so, MS will cancel a day of your SSR reservation to get the points for the BWV reservation.

If you can, book the first day with "uncommitted" SSR points (so you don't have to cancel the SSR day first. Some have reported that they have lost a reservation when booking during a popular time between the time the MS said it was available and the time the MS actually went to book it.

Anyway, after the first day at BWV is booked with "uncommitted" SSR points, then have the CM cancel the first day of your SSR reservation. Those points will be returned to your account. Now you have "uncommitted" points to use for the next day's reservation at the BWV.

If you don't have enough SSR points to do that, consider canceling (or not booking) the Friday and Saturday nights of your vacation. Those seem to last longer than weeknights.

I am currently booking day by day for a GV at OKW for June of 08 and it is very easy. When you call the first time, you'll need all ages and names and then each day you call, just tell them you are adding a day to an existing reservation. It's quick. No worries. Although, someone mentioned that if you are booking for July 11th, call Aug. 11th. I did that and they told me that I'd have to call the 12 since they were only booking departures for the 11th??? I almost called back to see what the next CM said....but I waited until the next day and had no problem.
