I have seen the websites but am still not sure where to stay

Raddison looks nice

Ron Jon looks nice

any suggestions on where to stay? And what is the best time to arrive at the port this year we came in at 12:30pm and we were at the port and on the boat by 2pm

thanks

We have stayed at the Raddison and will be staying there again for our upcoming cruise. We usually get to the port about 10:30 - 10:45.

We are staying at the Courtyard by Marriott in Cocoa Beach...they were very nice. Can park car there for free and only charge $3 per person for the shuttle.

I have stayed at both the Radisson at the Port (Dec 04) and Ron Jon (Jan 05). Our favorite is Ron Jon, newer, cleaner and nicer. We rode the shuttle from the Radisson (3 day cruise) and parked our car there with their cruise package room. It was fine doing that, but we enjoyed Ron Jon much better. In fact, we are already booked there for May 05! :sunny:

We haven't stayed at either of the two you mentioned. WE have stayed at Best Western, and Comfort Inn & Suites.. Both were basically on the beach, and suited our needs perfectly.. They were very close to 75$ in price per night, and the had the free shuttle to the port, and free parking while you cruise...

WE did not take the shuttle, because I am obsessed with not missing a single moment I possible can on the ship, and will not wait for the first one, which is around 11 or so...

I take a taxi at 10:00 and arrive shortly thereafter...I truly believe that at the price you are paying for the cruise, we should take it for all it has...For our family that means getting there and ON the boat A.S.A.P.

Enjoy... :goodvibes

Stayed at the radisson next to the port. Very nice pool, gocart track next door, Mcdonalds across the street and most important free shuttle to the ship. Also has complemetary breakfest wich you will need because it will likely be a few hours before your actually on the ship...

One little hint before I go...once you check in go stand in line and once your on the ship make your reservation at palo's to get the best possible seating... :moped: :hyper: they go fast :cool1:

radisson was best for us because we rented a car at the airport that could be dropped off at radisson rental car agency on site (got there a few days early to do space center), then shuttle took us to the port; booked through cruise line for transportation back to airport (unlike other cruiselines we've been on-disney has never screwed up our luggage getting to the airport).

radisson had nice facilities and reasonable prices.

Another vote for the Radisson. We stayed there in Aug 04. Got the 10:15am shuttle to the port and we were about the 20th family on line to get on the ship.

Their pool is very nice and there is a place to eat outside by the pool. We went to grills for dinner ther Friday night before we left on the cruise. But we had a car...took the AUtoTrain down.

This will be our first cruise, and we're staying at Ron Jon's. For a studio, we're paying $130 with AAA. It's more expensive than what I was hoping to spend, but I've read that it's very clean there, so it will be worth it.
