Day bed at AKL?

How are the day beds for a restful sleep. My son is 13 and 5' 2" normal weight will he be comfortable in this day bed? Or is this not for sleeping?

My DS is same age, size and he did fine on the day bed at AKL. They are actually pretty comfortable! Plus, they are so tired at the end of the day, it's a guarantee they will sleep well...

Are there any more day beds at AKL? I thought all the deluxe rooms that slept five were converted to DVC villas. Now they only have rooms that sleep four.

I'm assuming that the rooms with king-size beds still have a day bed.

I don't know if the still have them or not but my mother is 6'1" and slept on it fine.

Ya, I just made my reservation and he said no more 5 person rooms at all, they have all been converted. But, maybe as someone said in a king size rooms? The cm actually said the decision to have no 5 person rooms keeps the resort price down at AKL so that's kinda neat for me, but not so for others I'm sure. I had the most knowledgeable CM in the world when I booked AKL, it was amazing.

Wow! I'm glad that my family of 5 got to stay at the AKL in one room while we could! I can't believe that they took away that option for families! The rooms were NOT reasonable when we went and I can't imagine having to get two. I guess that crosses AKL off our list. I'm really disappointed about that!
