Your Cast of Characters:

Me, 44 year old mother & grandmother: Planner & financier of this trip who ate PB&J & bologna sandwiches and did rewards programs for ten months saving for the trip.

DD, Jess, 28: Poster child for premenstral syndrome and offical spoiler of trip. Seriously, she gets pms BAD & won't take medicine.

DGD, Skye, 7 turning 8 on 11/15: The most well behaved, sweetest granddaughter any grandmother could ask for. Loves rollercoasters & Pen trading.

October 31st:

Skye's finger looked pretty much the same this morning..except it wasn't red all around it. She said she felt fine. We had donuts again this morning then went to spend the day at the pool. I wanted to wear Skye out so she'd take a nap before the party. Without the nap, we knew she'd never hold up until midnight. She rarely takes naps at home anymore, but swimming makes her sleepy.

After several hours at the pool, around 1 o'clock Skye and I went to the hot tub for a while. Can you see what I'm doing here?;) After the hot tub, I took Skye to Mara and split a big double cheesburger with her then took her upstairs for a nap. Jess was going to do a load of laundry and try to stay out of the room. Skye went straight to sleep and slept about an hour and a half...she's so good.

We took turns in the shower and dressed Skye up as Tinkerbell. I'd bought her the outfit at The Disney Store at home but her magic wand got broke in the luggage getting here. She's got thick, curly long blond hair and blue eyes. When she wears her hair in a bun she looks like Tinkerbell or like a girl on the bus said earlier in the trip, she looks like Cinderella. We used some of the ornaments from the broken wand in her hair & put a little masacara, blush & lots of glitter all over her. I wore an orange 3/4 lenth tshirt & black capris. Jess wore jeans and one of the RFC tshirts I bought her the other night.

It was 4:30 when we arrived at MK. We got in with just our MNSSHP passes (I got free with Webcertificates I got doing the rewards programs) and got our wristbands. We took our time getting to Liberty Tree Tavern for our 5:30PS. I thought some DISer's were supposed to meet on the front porch of LTT around 5:30 so we sat on the porch for a while to see who would show up. I never saw any lime green ribbons so we went and checked in. In just a moment they called the Goodman family from the Territory of Kentucky. The food was pretty good. I think the people who think this food is excellent, has never had any real country cooking like we have in Kentucky. I know I was having a cold issue, but there was nothing wrong with my eyesight and that graby was bumpy....not lumpy, but bumpy. Never seen bumpy gravy before. We all ate pretty good though. We enjoyed seeing the characters as this was to be our only character meal since we had to cancel CRT.

I also had my first and only DISer sighting. I knew the beattyfamily had a PS around the same time as I did and remembered what she said her kids were dressing up as. Sure enough, I saw a little Ariel and a Christmas Belle with a big Beast following! beattyfamily herself had done passed before I figured out who they were. I said to her husband, are you the Beatty family? And he said yes, I told him to tell his wife that jennymouse said hello. beattyfamily came and said hello then. It was great seeing someone from the boards!

After LTT, we made our way to Fantasyland and rode Peter Pan & got our picture made at by IASM. At seven o'clock we hightailed it over to Haunted Mansion before lines got too long there. We all love that ride. Skye likes it, but gets a little wigged out at those heads that pop up. She always wants to ride it though. Skye would jump in a candy line if it wasn't too long. She's not a big candy eater though, so she skipped the long lined ones. We rode BTMRR twice...it's extra fun in the dark.

When we got off BTMRR, we noticed the Headless Horseman and the parade was getting ready to start so we found a spot right by the line and parked ourselves there. Before long we could hear the horse and then here it came! How impressive it was! I didn't get as good of a look as the girls because I was trying to take the picture, but Jess kept going on about how big and strong the horse was and how realistic it all was. The parade was really good even if it was a little short. We said we'd try to see it the second time, but didn't.

We headed over in front of the castle to watch the show there. Then the fireworks started and we were right underneath the witch as she flew down from the castle. Skye had spotted the wire first. We got a little rest sitting down in front of the castle during all that. I haven't mentioned it but I was having some issues with my feet during this trip so I enjoyed all breaks.;)

On the way into Tomorrowland we caught a story telling. It was kinda cute. We rode Space Mountain and I told Jess she ought to try Alien Encounter. I knew it was too scary for Skye (and me) but I thought she'd like it. Skye and I did Buzz twice while Jess did AE. Jess had no idea what to expect from AE as it wasn't here the last time she was. It scared her but she liked it! She thought it was going to be a ride. She got slimmed too! We watched a HOOLA HOOP contest, but Skye didn't want to get in it.

Off to Adventureland where we caught another storytelling, rode Pirates, Aladdin, and JC. We almost did the fortune teller, but knew we couldn't do anything else the rest of the night but stand in line for that...we oppted for PC & JC instead. It was the first time dong JC at night and I agree it's better at night. It turned midnight while we got off JC so we strolled down Main St and made our way out of the park.

It was an awsome night. The best day so far for me!
