Day 6 Seaworld

Cast : Myself (Johann)
Dsis Tricia (Thumper Thistle)

Started to rain when we were on the bus to Seaworld. Arrived at 9.20am and the rain got a bit heavier so it was time for another great poncho moment. Headed to the dolphin stadium for the first showing of the day. Hiked up the big hill to get in and went to look for a seat. I tripped at the top of the stairs and just caught the bench before I plummeted head first down all the stairs. Decided I should take off my sunglasses, seeing as it wasn’t sunny and they were restricting my sight. The warm up guy came out and before he had started the rain became torrential. He got a good laugh at the people down the front scrambling to the back to get under cover. He said it never fails to amaze him how people take their seats in the splash zone and then run for cover if it rains. Show was very good, the dolphin had to have two attempts to jump over the rope, rope was too high the first time.

Went to Shamu stadium next for the 11am show. This is one of my favourite shows in Orlando and I wasn’t disappointed. Sat dreaming of owning a killer whale and wondering where I could keep it. After Shamu we went to the Water ski show, this has changed since I last saw it and in my opinion it has changed for the better. Had lunch next and then went on the Pink Flamingoes. When I finally worked out how to steer the thing we managed to stay out of the fountain. I found the soaking quite refreshing in the heat (it had stopped raining and the sun was blazing) but Tricia didn’t care for it, she said a spray would have been nice, not a shower.

Saw Clyde and Seamore take Pirate Island which is another personal favourite and then went to see the sea lions which were there usual noisy self’s. I did my sea lion impersonation and scared myself because it was uncanny.

Went to feed the dolphins next and spent the next 45 minutes here. I want a dolphin so much. Just wanted to take them out the pool and bring them home with me. Maybe I could dig a pool for them in my garden. Anyway, I bought some fish and was holding one back so Tricia could get the camera out and the dolphin came right up the wall to get it. I gave in and let him have it. Didn’t my picture of me feeding the dolphin but did get loads of me touching the dolphins because they kept coming back to us even after we had no fish left. Managed to pictures of Tricia feeding them. The woman just along from us lost her camera when the dolphin jumped out the water and up the wall to take her cone of fish out her hand, it took the camera as well. The trainer did go in and get it back for her but it was probably ruined. Went to see the Manatees next and then had a snack, cookies and coke I think. Left Seaworld at 6pm. Great day, we both really enjoyed it.

When we got back to hotel we had some dinner and then went to the Magic Kingdom. When we arrived I put my ticket in the machine and somehow managed to get my fingers in it as well. The machine made some very strange grumbling noises and the CM started to laugh and said, “Wow, that’s never happened before.” Don’t know what we did at MK because I don’t have anything about it in my notes. We left after the fireworks and our driver Tyler was an absolute scream. He had the whole bus laughing the whole way back to the hotel. He told us that all the speed bumps were made of tourists who either didn’t laugh at his jokes or didn’t move quick enough when they saw his bus coming.

Back at hotel around 10. 45pm. Organised wake up call because we are going to heaven tomorrow (Belz Factory Outlets). Tricia’s foot getting very swollen. I’m worried about it, she says it's fine!!!

Excellent, Ive only been to seaworld once but it sounds as if we had the same kinda day. I cant wait fot the next installment as shopping in Orlando is one of my favourite pass times :D

No Johann a dolphin wouldn't survive in your back garden.Ciaron wanted a shark for the bath and he got the same answer as you NO!!!!
Glad you had a great time at sea World, would have been funnier if you had fallen!!!!!LOL!!!!
Can't wait to hear about the shopping!!

The Shamu show moves me to tears every time I see it!

Hope Tricia's foot is ok.....

Yer quite the little Dr Doolittle aren't yer, Johann?

V said she enjoyed the water skiin much more this year too. (It couldn't get much worse than the old show  )

Poor Tricia, hope it gets better soon , Pet.

No Kraken or Atlantis at Seaworld then?

Hmmm, taking home a killer whale and dolphin might make you a tad over your luggage allowance, far better off deciding to go to Belz and filling your cases from there!
