Get up bright and early to go meet Tara at MGM right at opening. Take the bus over from BWV and get there right on time. I don't remember the last time I made it to a park for opening. We get on the first ride of ToT which was great. We get off and go straight over to RnR and get front row seats. Wow....totally different when you're up front, lots of fun, but wow going from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds when you're in the front seat is crazy. The castmember at the end of the ride shows us a "secret passage" to use to ride the ride again without waiting in line and off we go again in the front seat! We went back over to ToT again and walked right on again. I LOVE January crowd levels! It's the best ever! Having had enough with parks 2 favorites, we walked over and saw the Muppets 3D vision show which always makes me smile. After a couple minutes of shopping in the gift shop at the end of the show we walk over to see the Stunt Show which will be a fist time viewing for both of us. It was great! All kinds of faced paced fun. Until the end... during one of the final stunts (I won't blow it for those of you who have yet to see the show) the car "lands" the wrong way, damages the front bumper of the car before bouncing all over the place and eventually skidding to a stop.... on it's side. Yup, that wasn't supposed to happen. Whoops. Needless to say they immediately booted all of us out so I never got to see the real ending... there's always next time I guess. Oh, one thing, we did see the driver give a thumbs up
so nobody was hurt which is a great thing. We then decided to get something to eat and ended up at the Backlot Express CS restuarant. Not too bad, I got a hot dog, fries, cheese, and chocolate mousse. I realized after lunch that it was already after 1 o'clock! Wow time flies when you're having fun. I wanted to get back to the room to relax a little before my dinner reservations at Le Cellier that night. Tara and I parted ways and made plans to meet up after Illuminations to go to Jellyrolls that night. I went back to the room and passed out cold, longer than I wanted to. I woke up 30mins before my reservations and ran out the door over to Epcot. My ressie was for 6:20 pm and I got seated at 6:25 which was suprising considering how busy they were. This was my first trip to Le Cellier and it definately will not be my last. I cannot praise this place enough! I am the worlds pickiest eater and I just about licked my plate clean before giving it back to the waiter. I got the 7oz Filet Mignon with their cream cheese mashed potatoes. MMMMMMMMM. It was the best steak I've ever had, it really was. I had some raspberry sorbet for dessert and then headed out. Also, for any solo travellers out there, it's a wonderful place to spend some time. The cast members treated me extra special and I didn't feel out of place at all which says alot because this was the first time in my entire life I've eaten at a restaurant alone. Walked back to the room and called Karen, a friend from home who moved down here when her husband tranferred to the Hyatt at the airport here. She's up for going to Jellyrolls too and everyone meets in my room before walking down. When we get there the place is pretty full, we still easily found a table and got situated. I go over to the bar and the bartender is not very disney like and is taking forever to get everyone drinks. One guy next to me made the comment "it'll take her 15 mins to get over here, and when she finally does she'll have a frown on her face." I thought it was just me who noticed. I get our drinks and we all sit down to enjoy the show. They were really great and an hour later it was standing room only! The place was nuts! We stayed til about 1am and then headed our separate ways. It was nice to spend time with Karen again. Off to bed I went until the rest of the Jellyrolls people came out and screamed me awake. Oh well. We all had fun.
