Hello - my name is Michael Reichert and I am 8 years old. I am Rae's son. I wanted to tell you that I got a hole in one at Sally's Mini Golf Course and really, really liked playing golf there. There were big lizards, turtles and birds on the course. I beat both my Mom and my Dad playing miniature golf.
We had a great time and even though it was hot...it was fun!!
Except for saying that I liked Fidelio best out of everything on the ship, horseback riding with Nicki and the golf were really the best off the ship.
Michael
Docked and saw a beautiful Coast Guard ship next to us - with a helicopter on deck! It's a bit of a walk to the shore and there are gentlemen inviting you to ride in their bicycle driven "cabs"!
We walked!! and walked and walked! We were tourists on a mission - get to Sally's and play miniature golf!@
Yes, it's a walk to Sally's but she's a great hostess - COLD water and soda's are a buck, and we had a great time playing on her course. It's an excellently kept course, beautiful tropical holes that are VERY challenging (except for Michael who of course got a hole in one at Hole #8). We had a wonderful time and didn't feel rushed or crowded at all. She did offer us a pager for drinks, but we were fine - we did take a few breaks after noticing that the temperature in the shade read "110"! YEAH! Yes, Michael did beat the pants off both of us.....the kid really can putt them in!
Did a bunch of shopping for silver and bought a hanging chair - loved the atmosphere of Cozumel. Went back to the ship and hung out for a while. Michael wanted to go to the Lab which was fine with us since we learned last night that Fidelio was going to be playing at SESSIONS! There was no Dueling Piano shows scheduled that night -
If you have heard him do rock and roll, you should someday hear him play some of the melodic oldies - Michelle, As Time Goes On, She's Got a Way About Her, etc, etc. I didn't realize what a lovely voice he has when he is actually singing in a more serious manner. Tom and I thoroughly enjoyed the "magic" of his artistry in that venue.
Of course, it ended all too soon for us but again, we do have those memories that linger!
Early night after a long day -
