Tuesday, January6, 2004 Day 3
Oh my, I took notes, but have since moved accross the country. Therefore, I am doing this without those notes. It's tough, but I want to finish! I realized I forgot some things: My missing bag? It was waiting at ASMo when we got back from DTD that first day, so way to go Song Luggage Staff! Also, during our day at Epcot, we had a few instances of walking infront of other's photos. Yelling "Eric", or "Mark" would only make the person STOP in front of the poor person's camera, so we needed a more effective tool. Through some tangle of logic, we coined "Code Betsy" for this instance. Thus, several innocent bystanders got pictures free of our goofy mugs.
Okay, back to our scheduled programming:
This was The Magic Kingdom Day. We woke early to a cool, but sunny day. It was definitely pants weather now. The bus was quick, I'd say 1/2 an MGM bus worth of wait. Soon, we were waiting at the rope, admiring the Mickey statues. People watching, of course. And who is infront of us? That's right: Team Purple. A young couple wearing matching purple shirts, with maps, lists, whistles (maybe not whistles....) gearing up for the day. And they were standing next to a purple Mickey statue. I got a great picture, that I hope to share with you in the future. Team Purple were practically stretching the rope, waiting for it to drop. I was thinknig we should follow them, but I guess that would've been a creepy thing to do.
Anyway, we were let in and had to go through Adventureland to get to the Frontierland rope drop (they were doing some sort of film shoot). I know we did Splash and Thunder Mountain, but I dunno what order. We got FPs, and saw that we could get more in 5 min! Strange, but we'll take it. After our Frontierland fun, we headed to Fantasy land to enjoy Mickey's Philharmagic. This was the coolest! We loved it and got FPs for it. Then, we did Peter Pan and Pooh. More good times. We moved on to Tomorrowland, and rode Space Mountain with a short Standby. The line was longer when we got off, so we got FP. Guess what??? Still can get more in 5 min! So I stop to have a Coke, and Eric runs to every FP attraction in the park to get a FP. Awesome. We ended up giving some away, but that's always fun. People are so surprised and happy. I hope Team Purple discovered the Fp magic, and were able to put away the lists and have some fun.
I really can't give ride orders anymore, but we didn't have to wait for anything that day. Soon, it was time for lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern. I had the Colony Salad (I think that's the name), and Eric and Mark had the Pot Roast. The food was really good (again!).
I'm pretty sure we rode Haunted Mansion after lunch. This was funny- I thought Eric and I were riding together, but when we get in our doombuggy, Mark climbs in after Eric. Okay, 3 full-grown people don't fit well in a doombuggy. When we got to the mirror with the hitchhiker I thought I would pee my pants at seeing the 3 of us STUFFED in this car, and the nerve of the ghost thinknig we had room for him. The best part was when we got off... the CM had the funniest look on his face.
We spent the whole day at MK, and had a crowded bus ride home. Eric and Mark gave up tehre seats to Team Cute... the best family ever! They were from Texas with to beautiful little girls. The girls were falling asleep- the one next to me was trying sooo hard not to put her head on my shoulder. I told her it was ok- I was tired too. So if you're Team Cute- way to go on the cute great family!
Wate dinner at ASMo food court. I think we all fell asleep before the door closed.
