Today is Tuesday and it's DVC Member day and the meeting starts soon. DH and I head downstairs and DH wants to look out at the golf course. So we stop for a minute for him to take it all in, and within 10 feet of him in the bushes, I spot an animal I've never seen close up and personal. It's a big kitty - looks like a bobcat! So, I ever so softly say, "John, John" with a quivering voice. DH seems to recognize the sound of my voice as to what it means and backs up ever so slowly. Not even a minute later, 2 CMs come rushing over and the big discussion begins as to what kind of animal I just saw. That was a new one for me!
Then DH and I get over to the meeting where I had the pleasure of meeting Doc and his lovely wife - very nice people! And the meeting gives us updates - mostly about the Concierge Collection and Passports available to members and we talk about other upcoming Vacation Clubs. When the meeting is over, DH and I decide to take a walk and take our time today. Our guests are still sleeping in the room and we want to give them some time... so we try to figure out just where to spend today.
We're off to Boardwalk and Beach Club and over to Epcot. Good choice - one of my favorite areas. With a brief stop in the Gallery to admire the art, we eventually find our way thru the Epcot gates. First stop - England - luv the shops and gradually we make our way to the front of Epcot - have to see our Legacy picture and the different displays from the Flower and Garden Festival. Into the Art of Disney, DH's favorite shop - he has no problem spending $$ in here. He makes a purchase of a new piece and then we wonder about just taking in the flower displays and looking around.
Then it's time to give our guests a wake up call - they were out til all hours - oh to be young again. We plan to meet over at the Contemporary and do some hotel hopping, not to mention ride the monorail. DS's girlfriend loves it all! After we take in the hotels around there, we head over to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Finally, my son is impressed, only because this is the first time he has seen it - the rest of WDW he has seen since he was 8 months old - tough way to grow up, I guess.
Later that day, we go our separate ways and I head for the pool at OKW before the guys head back to Boardwalk and ESPN - DH needs to watch his hockey game and DS decides he'll go along too. So, DS' girl and I go over to the Beach Club and check out SAB - this is a great pool and I can't wait to use it in Nov when I stay here. We walked around and eventually head over to ESPN to see how the game was going - not good so it's time for some more shopping and taking in the nighttime sights.
