We were up and getting ready by 4am, this was especially hard for me since i wasn't home from work until almost midnight. Luckily the excitement of going to disney world got me out of bed feeling like i'd had eight hours of sleep. The cab arrived at exactly 4:30 and loaded the luggage into the trunk, the first peice he loaded was my mom's which he hit the taillight with, but it didn't break. Then he loaded mine, and hit the taillight again, this time it broke.. second time is the charm i guess. Then it was off to the airport. After arriving at the airport it was time to check in and board the plane. At this time i will skip directly to the landing at orlando, since the flight down went so smoothly there isn't anything to report about that. Arrived in orlando right on time without incident, and it was off to that first monorail ride... the one at the airport, then down those wonderful escalator to see if our guy from tiffany was there, yup there he is, so far things have gone very smoothly, then off to claim our luggage, and what will hopefully be the only game of the trip... its called.. is that bag mine, i know everyone knows how its played, you stand there watching luggage go by. the first piece is never yours or anyone elses. nope that luggage isn't mine, mine is black, then a black piece comes around, nope thats not mine, mine is bigger then that. then a large black piece comes around, nope that ones not mine, mine has a green luggage tag on it. then a large black suitcase with a green tag comes around, yup that one is mine. This game is played much better with alot of people or if your just a single traveler but you talk about it out loud. Then off to get that towncar, while we waited for him to pull the car around, we did some people watching, most notably those that were getting onto the mears bus, since that was what i orginally had booked. Suddenly there was aour car and it was time to load the luggage. The tiffany guy whose name was "Bel" was very nice, and handled all of our luggage and managed to not break out hit taillight while loading the bags. The ride to Pop century was very nice, and we got there very quickly. My first impression of Pop Century was that it was loud and gaudy and i absolutly loved it. Then into line to get checked in, the people in line behind us were one of those that had gotten on Mears at the airport. Check in went fairly quickly, then we went to our room where we dumped our bags, grabbed our tickets and headed off to Epcot. The bus arrived just as we walked up to the line. The cool part... we arrived at epcot and hour and half after we had landed. We went directly to guest relations where we exchanged my AP voucher for the real thing, and exchanged an old ticket that my mom had gotten years ago on a band trip. The first ride was space ship earth, no line at all. Then it was lunch time, so we went to mexico to the san angel inn, where we split the nachos which were very good. the service was fine although the waitress for to bring us our drinks, and we had to remind her to get them. Then walked down to Italy for desert where we each had canoli. Then onto my favorite ride, Figment, which i loved. then into HISTA. Then we decided that we should have an early night so we headed over to MGM for Fantasmic which started at 7 instead of staying for illuminations which starts at 9. Fantasmic was wonderful as always. Then back to our room for some much needed sleep.
