Go grab your coffeee and get ready.. it's gunna be a long entry.. :surfweb:

Okay.. so.. I ventured back to Alfred Angelo today to try on some more dresses and to try on some bridesmaid dresses as well. I kinda wanted to reassure myself that my dress was MY dress. Plus I LOVED a few of their headpieces the last time I was there. So we went there and they were sweet as PIE to me.. hehe. Guess it pays to complain? The store was basically open JUST for me because they opened earlier for me.. hehe. :rotfl: So I went in and was greeted pleasantly and had gotten assigned to my consultant.

I tried on the Ariel dress & Snow White dress again and then like 2 other dresses. I really loved the Ariel dress, it is GORGEOUS. But girl canNOT get her grooooove :dancer: on in that thing. And well.. I'm a dancer so I need to bust a move when I want to! So we put them suckers on and I almost broke down.. I really LOOOOVE the Snow White dress.. we put the biggest crinoline underneath of it and I almost peed myself because now I was really confused! :scared1: So here are some pictures for you girls' viewing delight..

Here is Miss Ariel.. it wasn't my size in the hips at all.. Woops! But, you can get the general idea..
wddg_012.jpg
wddg_013.jpg

wddg_014.jpg
& the last is just the MOST flattering angle ever isn't it?? ha. Oh mom.

Miss Snow White.. ugh.. this is when I was SUPER confused...
wddg_016.jpg
wddg_017.jpg
wddg_018.jpg
wddg_019.jpg
wddg_020.jpg

Soo.. then I decided to let my bridesmaid, Nikki, try on dresses.. I'm only going to post my top favorite dresses here.. the rejects will be in the NEXT post. ha. Because I know it's going to be a bit picture heavy here..
wddg_022.jpg

This one was pretty.. but wasn't flowy enough for me?
wddg_026.jpg
wddg_027.jpg

This would be COMPLETELY burnt orange, with a teal all rhinestone belt & get rid of that ugly bow in the front.
wddg_028.jpg

However.. there is one that we all loved, the back is so different and elegant. I was shocked I liked something that wasn't chiffon..
wddg_024.jpg
wddg_025.jpg

Then the consultant and I had a genius idea.. let's add some bling to this baby :wizard:
wddg_032.jpg
wddg_031.jpg
Um Hello! Soooo in love with it now. And in the burnt orange color. Gorgeous! haha. So I think we're pretty decided on that baby.

I also found a tiara at AA that I loved too, which she wrote down for me because I didn't have the cash to purchase it today.

So now that I was really torn up I didn't know WHAT to do about my gown.. we went to lunch at Panera and I decided to call my dress shop. I asked if I could come in and try on my girl with the extra poof underneath of it so that I can show my bridesmaid.. (didn't let them know I was having a dress dilemma ha).

Soo.. it's a smidge pic heavy so I have to post in TWO posts... Woops! To be continued...

We get to the shop and b-lined straight for the fitting room to try it on again.. They knew me as soon as I walked in and got everything ready for me. heh. I'm know as the crazy snow bride.. lol. Well they got the crazy part right! ha. So I step out in it with the extra poof and my bridesmaid's eyes just LIT up, was too cute. And so did my moms, she's like 'am I allowed to cry this time?' ha. I told her yes cause I alrady ordered it so it's all good. But she didn't cry anyway.
When I stood in front of that mirror I couldn't help but to smile. I did the right thing and I DEFINITELY made the right decision. This IS MY dress. No doubt about it. Especially once I put the veil and headpiece on! hehe. I found another headpiece I liked but that sucker is $368! Almost died. Why must I have such expensive taste?! :headache:

This time.. I stole some pictures of the veil.. see how pretty she is? Just can't justify spending $600 on it..
wddg_034.jpg
wddg_035.jpg
Little teaser in there of me in the dress.. well my hip anyway. hehe.
wddg_041.jpg
wddg_041.jpg

Then my bridesmaid tried on another dress that we like.. but not sure how a few of the girls will look in it..
wddg_039.jpg

And this STUNNING number that my mother looked gorgeous in.. and hope she decides to buy in the future! hehe. I want my mom to look absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day.. she doesn't give herself enough of credit and she never gets dressed up. She's always in blah boring colors and dresses so I told her NO, you will be in a GOWN. Get over it. hehe.
wddg_042.jpg

So that was my dilemma for the day.. but when we left the shop I was talking to them about it and I was like no.. she IS my gown for my wedding no DOUBT about it in my head anymore.. heh. And they all agreed. They wanted to slap me for EVEN THINKING Snow White was better than that.. this one is way more couture, more sparkle, more detail, more ME. heh. Oh me and my mini meltdowns.. which I warned them this was number one of many! ha.
But we did decide.. Snow White dress.. we're keeping an eye on for clearance.. because THAT will be my dress for our 1 year vow renewal down IN Disney World! :lmao: Because that is what we're planning and it would fit the venue perfectly, because it IS the princess dress. hehe. :rolleyes1

So after a long day of dresses and turmoil.. I returned home to a package, which contained these babies that I was sooooooo stoked to finally have in my hand!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
wddg_043.jpg

:dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Yayyyyy!
Moral of the story.... Always listen to the fab 5.. they really do know what's best! :grouphug: :rolleyes1

YAYYYY!! :grouphug::woohoo: :dancer:

The Ariel dress was really pretty, but it would definitely be a pain not to be able to move on your wedding day! I have to say that when I first read your post about the Snow White dress, before I finished reading to see how you decided I went back to look at your original dress. And as pretty as Snow White is, I really think your dress is more stunning. So I was happy to see that you went back to try it on again and you agree! :cool1:

My favorite bridesmaid dress was the one that you tried on at the store where you got your dress, with the one shoulder. But I think you're right, it may not be best for every body type. The AA dress you liked best is gorgeous as well, I just like how unique the other dress is. I don't think you can go wrong with either one!

And that mother's dress is stunning as well. I feel the same way about my mom - she never gets dressed up, I can't even picture what she would look like in a dress like that! I can't wait to go shopping with her :yay:

Hehe, thanks so much girlie! :grouphug: It is definitely much more stunning than Snow White. It's a completely different look all together! It's extremely elegant and couture and blingy and all that fun stuff. Esp with the crinoline underneath! hehe. Can't wait til you all see it in pictures!

Yeah that bridesmaid dress is DEFINITELY gorgeous. I love it. And love the fabric. But the back of that one is so pretty and esp if we add the little bit more bling on it by using the sash, it gives it a totally different look. I want the girls to be happy and comfortable. So once I can get them all together to go and try on a few of the top dresses, it'll be a LOT easier to make a decision. My bridesmaid that tried it on just LOVED the way the train and back was on our top dress, and it was super elegant, unlike anything else that she's ever worn. Soooo we shall see! :dance3:

Thanks again mama!
I was so happy that my mom even liked that dress! haha. Her dress that is. :cool2:

Yay!!! I'm so happy for you!!! I knew you just had to go try it on again ;)
My favorite bridesmaid dress is also the one at AA. It's absolutely gorgeous.
And yay for finding the tiara! AA has a pretty good selection of them :)
Your moms dress is gorgeous!! You have to tell her I said she should buy it!!

P.S. Thanks for taking the pic in Ariel!!! I really love it!! Why oh why did they have to come out right after I bought my dress.... :rotfl:

See what can happen when we listen to reason? lol! :grouphug::dancer::dancer::dancer: I am so glad you restored your confidence in your dress today it's going to look gorgeous and I can't wait to see the pics!!! You looked very lovely in Snow White and Ariel by the way, go AA for jumping on the Disney bandwagon they are absolutely gorgeous gowns :) I agree with Kristi I like the bridesmaid dress from AA, though I may be a bit bias b/c that was my first choice for my maid of honor a few months back, but the girls agreed on another style. I love that mother of the bride dress, it's so elegant, what designer is that? I am glad everything worked out for you today, you deserve it:thumbsup2

KristiLyn.. Ariel is gorg.. but you aint doing no dancing in that baby. It's somewhat rough to move in. I definitely am happy that I went to try it on again. Esp with the extra poof that we plan on doing. hehe. The tiara is gorg and will probably just go back for it once I have the cashola in my pocket. TOo bad I can't find that sucker online to order.. :sad2: I'll tell Momma what you said! ha.

Thanks so much, Bickimook! :yay: It's super exciting to know that I'm still happy about it yanno? hehe. The gowns are gorgeous. They do feel a bit 'young' though.. like almost sweet 16ish? IDK why.. I think they just need to change a bit to their line to make it feel a lil bit more grown up yanno? But the gowns are gorgeous. hehe.

The good thing about their bridesmaid dresses is the fact that they are so reasonably priced! :thumbsup2

The mother of the bride dress is Montague? I believe. I'm not sure I don't exactly remember. hehe.

Yaaaaay fab 5! :grouphug:

:grouphug: FAB 5 POWERRRRRRRR!! :grouphug:

I love all of the pictures!!!

It was good to see ol' Snow White & Ariel make an appearance!! :) They both looked fabulous on you, which of course, I highly doubt anything WOULDN"T look good girly.... :goodvibes BUT I do agree, that although they are beautiful dresses, they do have a younger feel to me as well, like for a teenage bride? I do get a very prom-ish feel from them. But they are pretty!!

I love those bridesmaids dresses!! I really probably don't have much opinion on those, since all I will be picking is tuxedos! :lmao: I do agree that I like the one at AA that you adored, and I also do like the one at the Snow Store!! :) Are all your bridesmaids relatively the same size?? Any idea about the flower girl dress yet?!

Tell Momma that Amber says to get that dress!! :thumbsup2 I agree that Moms need to dress up more and enjoy the day and beautiful as well!! AND tell your mom that she is officially "un-fired" as a photographer!

OOOOOOOOHHHH I SAW A HIP!!! lol..in YOUR DRESS!!! :rotfl:

I am soooooo glad you finally were able to see your dress with a little extra oomph! :) And am sooo HAPPY that you are 100% on board with YOUR DRESS!!! :) Can't wait to see what it looks like girly!! :woohoo:

YAY for groom ears!!!! :dancer: :dancer: :dancer::dancer:

i just wanted to jump in and say that the dresses looked great on you!! the ariel looked absolutley stunning on you... like it was made for you!! however i am partial to the snow white. it's the only one out of all the disney dresses i tried on that i *loved*. it looked great on you... especially with the crinny underneath! even though i'll probably end up with a maggie... i want to try the snow white on again with the crinolene! i don't know how you're going to pick!! :rotfl:

Ahhh! Haha, LOVE you! We really are soo much alike. I'm glad you agree about the dresses.. hehe. I thought I was the only one who felt that they were kinda young?? But they areee gorgeous. But young at the same time. :confused3 Not 'elegant' enough I guess.

Yes, those are probably my top 2 dresses. They're all similar shaped kinda? But my future sis in law is a bit straight bodied and thicker? And so is another one of my bridesmaids. So we'll have to have them try both of them on and then kinda go from there. Thank goodness we have time! :worship:

I will tell Momma about all you girls telling her that she MUST buy that dress. She won't have a choice! And that's all she kept saying, woo I didn't get fired! Woo! All the people in the store thought she was nuts. lol.

YES that was my hip.. and that's all your getting! haha. :lmao:

Gooooo fab five! :grouphug: :dancer:

Thanks for all the compliments!!! I loved the Ariel dress also, but not a mover dress. hehe. And I love to dance! lol. Good for a vow renewel down the line maybe? hehe.
Yes, the Snow White is gorg and sparkley, that's what I loved about it. And I def recommend the extra poof.

But in the end I went with my Maggie.. they're so much more elegant feeling and couture. I love everything about it! :cloud9: The Disney dresses just remind me of a young bride I guess? Or a white prom/sweet 16 dress?

So I emailed my planner from our venue asking about doing the sparkler exit.. I had pretty much PLANNED on doing this from the beginning of planning because I would LOVE the pictures from it and it's just so different.. I assumed there would be no problem with the venue right? :confused3

WRONG! She got back to me today to let me know that I wouldn't be able to do it because a few years back a couple of *censored* threw the sparklers into the air, burning their awning in front of the venue! :headache: Those big jerkies ruined it for me! I emailed her back telling her how bummed out I was and she asked the owner a second time, but it was still a no go.

She recommended maybe doing it back at the hotel that we are staying at, because a majority of the guests and bridal party will probably be staying there with us.. that if they all arrived before us, when we get there we can stage the photos there too? But I'd have to talk to my photographer to see if we can fit that into the crazy schedule of the day. Ugh. I'm so super bummed out about it. :sad2: :sad2: That was one thing I was really looking forward to having pictures of.

Hopefully we can work things out, thankfully I asked far enough in advanced! Blah.

Well at least it is GORGEOUS outside today.. I love it! I need me some spring time ASAP. I'm off to Dave's for the night until tomorrow night. So at least I get to see him. heh. I feel like it's been forever.. yet I saw him Thursday morning leaving for work. haha.

Awww sorry about the sparklers girly!!!! Maybe they can photoshop some sparklers in your photos?? :rolleyes1

I hope everything works out and you can think of something!!

It was beautiful here too!! Almost 78!!! Bright & Sunny!! :cool2: I washed and vacuumed both cars and sat outside and read a little bit... SOOO NICE!! :)

Awww I miss Thomas all the time too, even if it is only for a day!! :goodvibes Tell Dave I said HEYYYYYY!!! :wave2:

Well darn it! I am so sorry to hear this hun :grouphug: Well maybe the hotel idea might work, it does make for some awesome pictures, if you can get enough ppl to participate it could work out, don't lose hope just yet :)
