Soo my last post didn't post? :confused3

But anywho, thanks to all for their opinions! I LOVE the pair with the blue too! :lovestruc

But on the other hand I am having some issues?? I'm having second thoughts on my dress.. I absoultely LOVE and adore it. It's so unique and different, the pictures literally do NOT do it justice what so ever. But I always saw myself getting married in a ballgown? But none of the ballgowns I see I like? They're gorgeous don't get me wrong, but they all look the same? So that's what totally turned me off to them. I want a breathtaking tear-jerker of a gown! ha. My gown we are adding tulle to make it fuller so maybe once it has that I won't be so torn up about it? But I really don't know what to do?:sad2: :sad2:
And to top it all off.. Dave saw a picture of the dress from afar last night! :scared1: I was showing my cousin (flower girl's mom) and he was coming downstairs from behind us (we didn't know). I covered it up with my hand and he looked away as soon as he realized, but he said that he saw the shape of it.. and that it's strapless. NOW WHAT DO I DO?! I wanted it to be a complete surprise. :sad2: :sad2: :confused3 :sad2: :sad2: I mean we have awhile before the wedding so maybe he'll forget about it? But at the same time.. I'm really upset about it all. Ugh. Now what do I do?

Maybe I need to go retry it on again to be reassure myself??

& Bickimook2.. I'm going to get the craft supplies first chance I get so look for updates!

AWWWWWWWWWWW

I think you are just stressing too much about your dress! I agree with you on the ballgowns- that most of them tend to have the same feel and look and most unique ballgowns are $$$$$$$$. I absolutely LOVE your dress, it will look wonderful on you and I can imagine the pictures don't do it justice!!

I think you should go back and try it on again- and even maybe try on some ballgowns just to see in comparison? Does the bridal shop have something they can put underneath to puff it out while you are trying it on? So you can see how it will look right then?

OH Dave!! I am sure it was a complete accident, but that is gloomy he already saw it! >.< I bet he won't remember much about it in a year- but I know that can be disheartening!! Which reminds me I need to get my dress pictures off of my phone.....

Don't worry girly!!! Go try it back on again!!

Yeah I think trying it on again will do the trick? :goodvibes I may even try to sneak down there by myself without anybody else to try it on. heh. That way it's just me, yanno?? I think they may have something that they could put underneath of it to make it bigger? Don't see why not??
Yeah the gorgeous ballgown that I was in LOVE with is like $5,000. :scared1:

Dave didn't see the detail of the dress at least? Just saw that it looked like a cone. Ha! :rolleyes1 So idk, plus if I change it up a bit it won't be like it anyway?

Awww, I would definitely try it on again to reassure yourself. And remember that feeling when you first put it on! I had a few moments of wanting a different dress, especially after seeing some of the really pretty ones people posted on here, but I just keep reassuring myself that I knew when I tried on my dress that it was right. Plus I believe you tried on a number of dresses, right? So it's not like you just tried on the one and you aren't sure now if something else would have been better because you didn't try :)

As for your DF seeing the picture... I'm sure that will be fine. It sounds like he basically saw the shape of the dress, some of which you're changing anyway. Plus from looking at your dress it seems like it's really the detail that will make it the dress and that's something that he didn't see anyway!

Oh I am sorry that this happened. It will be alright. I think if your having any doubts about your dress then you should keep looking because it is such a big investment not just financially but emotionally as well. But I can't help but think about Say Yes To The Dress in this situation. I don't know if you've seen the show but one of the things the bridal consultants say is don't over shop bc it might confuse you more and sometimes that tear jerker moment doesn't always come and you just have to trust your gut only you know what is right. That being said if you have any doubts keep looking and if you do end up staying with that dress don't worry about Df like Amber said he will most likely not remember what it looked like in a year. Hope this helps :). Keep us updated:)

Yeah, I definitely exhausted a LOT of options when I was trying dresses on and stuff. heh. I think one day this week before I go to Dave's house I'll just stop by the shop and try it on to reassure myself? It's right by his house so it's convenient. Plus I'll go by myself. So no outside commentary. heh. The detail is phenomenal. I should post one of my pictures I have of it.. heh.

Yeah, I watch that show on a regular basis! lol. I'm obsessed with it! :happytv: But I never got the tear jerker moment but I got the nervous moment. Where it was like holy crap this is for real now huh?! I've just been looking at pictures but still haven't found any I'm totally in LOVE with. A ball gown or 2 from Maggie Sottero and Mori Lee. But that's it. So IDK we'll see. It's so hard to find the dresses that you find online in stores though! It sucks. heh.

Of course I'd keep you girls updated! How could I not?! :grouphug:

Okay, so, if you live in New Jersey you are FULLY aware of this wretched snow storm that is haunting us all day. I was originally supposed to go try on some dresses at 7pm in this one shop but I was worried they'd be closed. I had called around noon and he said he wasn't sure when or if they'd actually be 'open'. Luckily, a few minutes later he calls me back to let me know they're opening just for me! I told him no worries! I'll be there by 3:30!

We get to the store, mother & maid of honor in tow, I am immediately overwhelmed with all of the pretty dresses! hah. They had their dresses actually hung up on body hangers so you can somewhat see what they'd look like on. I picked out about 6 or 7 dresses to try on & then headed into the fitting room. The first one I tried on was nice (don't remember what it even looked like?). Then I tried on a Maggie Sottero dress that I had been eyeing up online..
For all you brides who are worried you won't find the one.. I promise you when they say you'll know.. they're 120% right! I walked out of the room & looked at myself in the full length mirror with my mom & MOH behind me & couldn't stop smiling! The dress was stunning! I LOVED it! I couldn't take my eyes off of myself! (Conceited much?) It was seriously a combination of all of my dresses I 'liked' in one! I said I loved it & my mom almost fell off of her seat! She was like woah, you've never said that yeah! The woman then put a veil that matched PERFECTLY & a pretty sparkley tiara. I was in LOVE. =] I didn't wanna take it off! Standing in the mirror I began to do my finger thinking (don't ask.. it's a thing I do when my brains a thinking away & I do this finger movement maneuver ha).. My mom can automatically see it in my face. She's like uh oh, the fingers are a going. This is the one! I couldn't help but laugh, she knows her daughter waaaaay too well! After a few more minutes admiring myself in the mirror, I decided to try on more dresses. I ended up only trying on 2 more.. a Maggie ballgown & an Alfred Angelo lace fit n flare, both beautiful gowns. But not mine.. Okay, back to my babe! ha. I got back into the dress & again, couldn't help but stare at myself! The woman told me she'd give me a snow sale, $600 off of the gown & $250 off of the veil (making it $400! Plus I had to take THAT one, they couldn't get anymore =[). How could I say no?! Well, I said no to the veil! Sorry but $400 for a veil is a little much, I loved how it matched but I'll search the internet or make my own somehow! ha.

My MOH tried on a few bridesmaids dresses, we have about 3 contenders so far! =] Pretty, pretty, but we're gunna try on more next week at Alfred Angelo! We have an appointment there for me to try on, but I'm probably going to try on rehearsal dressses instead! ;D

After she was done, I HAD to put my dress back on. Then it was crystal clear. Screaming my name in blinging crystals, HELLO THIS IS YOUR DRESS JENIFER!:love::cloud9::cloud9::love::love:
I took it off and we then began the ordering process! I didn't wanna include pics of me in it just yet, not until I get MINE! ha. ;D But here are pics from the website.. I'm officially a Maggie bride!!!!!

Yahoo! Everytime I look at her I fall more in love... hah. Any bride twins out there? Do you know about the veil I'm talking about? And if so, feel freee to let me know who makes it?? The one I tried on, didn't have a tag! :sad2:

Still in shock I ordered my dress. My MOH was my good luck charm! :woohoo:

REMEMBER THIS POST??? You were so happy, and knew for sure it was "the one"! I think you should go try it on again. I think you'll fall in love with it all over again :)
And for df seeing it, don't worry. I'm with you on that one. But the way I'm looking at it is that he has no idea what I'll look like actually in the dress. :)
Good luck girlie. I'm sure you'll make the right decision...

I agree with everyone else: try it on again. You knew it was the one, and now you just need to relive the moment. It will still be the one. :thumbsup2

Most men won't remember what the dress looks like, especially after such a quick glance. Like Kristi said, he won't know what it looks like on you. And, it always looks better on the bride. :goodvibes

I agree with everyone, DF seeing it on a computer and seeing it in person with your entire ensemble and your hair and make up, and bouquet, it will be completely different. For the most part guys don't really remember these things anyway.

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
Seriously, don't know what I'd do without you girls! You're all so right.

&& Kristi, I'd hug you if you could! heh. I shoulda just went back and read that post over again to reassure myself. But my scatterbrained self just didn't ha.

I will look totally different in it, PLUS I'm changing a lot of the dress to make it more of my own. So it will be different. heh.
:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc Love you girlss!

I saw your post on my PJ and I see your dilemma.
all I have to say is WOW! your dress is gorgeous! but I know no matter what anyone says its how you feel about the dress :confused3 I've mostly settled with my dilemma I bought crinoline to under it so it poofs more. I haven't had it on in a while so I might be slipping back to that dilemma lol. I'm going to finish making my veil and try it all on again and I think I'll be ok! Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but at least theres someone to commiserate with! lol

Yeah, well we're going to get a crinoline for underneath of mine also. So hopefully that'll take care of everything. Even when I look online I still can't find anything that matches the uniqueness of my gown. I mean seriously if we could just make that baby into a big ol' poofy ballgown I'd be set! lol. But we'll see! We can commiserate together! ha. I def wanna see pictures of you in yours though! :goodvibes

At to the FAB 5... :grouphug:
I think it must be necessary for you girls to be at my wedding! lol :woohoo:
