Alright ladies, I need your help. I wanna do somewhat of a Little Mermaid themed engagement shoot. We will be near the beach so I think that this would work perfectly. But now I need YOUR help. What kind of props should I bring along? And what should I wear?

Props so far..

• dinglehopper aka fork
• stuffed flounder
• seashell necklace(going to make)

But whet the heck should I wear?!

Ooh could you get a 'snarflat' too (a pipe?!)

How about a turquoise and/or purple dress? Ariel's outfit colours

You could wear a pretty green or teal dress (to match her fins). Maybe get a seashell clip for your hair? If you can find one, maybe a larger sized pipe (snarfblat). If you're really lucky, you might be able to get a seagull to pose with you.

You could also do a cute picture of you laying on the sand (or a bug rock, if you can find one) and have your DH stand or sit beside you like in the movie.

The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney movie (and Ariel my princess). I can't wait to see what you end up with.

I was thinking the pipe, but wasn't sure as to how it would translate in the pictures?

Those are the definite colors I want to use, I just gotta find something now! hehe

Yes, definitely. I DEFINITELY wanna recreate the one of Eric laying in the sand with me kinda sitting next to him? Reminiscent of when she saves his life in the beginning of the movie. Eep! I love it.

Ariel is my favorite movie and princess. I always wanted to BE Ariel. hehe. I have a major connection with the ocean much like her. lol. Except I'm not a mermaid.

Girl, do NOT tempt me! But post-wedding.. I'm going for a drastic change and I have ALWAYS wanted to go Ariel red and I think I may finally do it! ;D

I'd love to put some pieces in though. I usually have it with huge red chunks (check out on FB) but the upkeep was killing me recently so I got rid of them and I miss them terribly.

It would look lovely with your skin tone. Maybe a seashell hairclip.

Doesn't Ariel use a candelabra to hold her silverware in the grotto?
Could be a cute prop.

I kinda love that first one! And I can probably create my own hairclip out of a super large seashell spraypainted a nice bright color!

Yup! The dress I wore in our e-pics was from ModCloth I did think that mine was a little short, so I wore leggings/tights. I think it probably could have been worn without them, but I tend to be more cautious. Other than that, it was very true to size.

I have been gone for a while but I am all caught up now. I love the pictures from your engagement party. It looked like it was so fun. I must say I wish I could've eaten one of those cupcakes. They looked delicious!!!
