I'm guessing you already looked at the Disney Store or Disney Store online? The only other thing I can think of is Walmart, sometimes they have cute Disney shirts in the junior's section. I don't remember much of what they had last time I was there, but I got a really cute Lady and the Tramp shirt there.

Kohls had Mickey, and Goofy shirts in their Jr. section this weekend

Alright ladies, you may want to grab a cup of coffee & snacks before you start reading this one..

But I promise I’m going to start with some good news! Last Friday my mother & I ventured over to my favorite local bridal shop (not even where I got my gown, I just love the people in there) to check out some accessories & also browse the bridesmaids gowns since I know one of our contenders was already in stock. We got there & I got my consultant (even just for accessories, yep!). Her name was Caroline & we were like 2 peas in the pod! As soon as I told her that I wanted a BIG tiara her eyes lit up. I was then informed that she is nicknamed the ‘Bling Queen’ & I told her that there was no way she could outbling me! Lol. We were a match made in heaven! Haha. Needless to say she definitely helped me find my tiara! It’s gorgeous & immediately thought of Princess Ariel as soon as it was on my head! PLUS it matches my earrings I already had! Eep!

Then we were onto looking at veils, told her I wanted cathedral, showed her a picture of my gown and went from there. At first she put on this one with ALL over crystals & pearls. I HATE pearls. So that was a goner. She then brought out my Twinkles! (Yes, I named my veil) OMG, as soon as she put her in my hair I was in love. I mean LOVE LOVE to where I couldn’t stop looking at myself. It’s silver lining on the edges and then Swarovski’s ALL over the veil. Scattered on the edge & as it gets closer to the bottom of the veil it gets thicker. Eep! She’s fabulous & I mean just breathing this thing twinkles can you IMAGINE it in the sun??! Kinda makes me wish I was getting married outside again? Womp, womp. =[

And.. now onto my second bridal meltdown so far. When I had booked my wedding venue, looking back I think I booked it for all of the wrong reasons? I think I panicked and just booked to book. Bad, bad decision. I didn’t think anything through. DF liked it so I liked it and that was that. Especially after the prior venues we went to & I absolutely hated them. So anywho..
Ever since my ceremony change & issue everything about the venue has just been rubbing me the absolute wrong way. I just don’t feel right about it & nobody gets it, except for Amber, Kristi, Becky & Vicki. ;D But anyway, so it’s really been killing me & eating away at me. I’ve been trying to find a way out of my contract, since it’s early enough, & find a new venue. I finally found my DREAM venue. I mean DREAM venue here. It’s newly renovated that’s why back when I was booking I hadn’t found it first. Well, I braved it up & called them to see if they were available on my date. Guess what? They’re not. =/ Womp. My dreams were shattered. The only way to get my dream venue is to change my date, which then chances me loosing all of my other contracts. Which I just can’t chance. So now I’m at a total loss. It’s so depressing. The venue had my chairs that I wanted, the look that I wanted, I didn’t have to add any extras. But now all I feel is stuck. Stuck with my current venue that isn’t very willing to work with me… it’s extremely upsetting. I don’t know what to do. I hate this feeling.
I did set up a meeting with my coordinator for next week though, either Monday or Tuesday & I’m going in with new eyes plus 2 of my bridesmaids. So that hopefully we can figure something out.

OH & while I was talking with my DJ about uplighting I had mentioned about the size of my wedding guest list & he seemed concerned. Turns out, he told me that he thinks the venue could comfortably fit no more than 165, welp my guest list currently is about 200. Eek! Granted, yes people are going to say no. I don’t like chancing it? But I don’t think I have much of a choice.

I was talking with Kristi earlier today & mentioned a bunch of ideas about dressing it up that really would help me. I also need to contact a few rental places about Chiavari chairs, because I seriously HATE the ballroom chairs. They drive me crazy & scream a cheesy 80’s wedding movie. (Sorry to those who love them, I’m just one of those whacko crazy gotta be different brides lol). So idk, we’ll see. I still feel super duper stressed & aggravated, to the point that I almost cried at work.

I don’t like the lost and stuck feeling. I just need a breather & GOOD things on the wedding front.. it’s been nothing but downers lately..

The lunch kinda, just went?! Nothing was accomplished. She didn't wanna hear anything. I will be seeing her the 2nd day I'm out in Cali because she's going to meet us while we're out at a free event out there. So we'll see if she shows up. I'll give her a couple months before I bring up the whole 'reliable' situation and if she can't fulfill I'll understand if she has to step down. =/

Hi Hi! I know, it seriously STINKS! I'm at a loss as to what to do. But like you said, once I go back hopefully I'll see it thru a new light? I have a few ideas as to what I could do but just hope I can afford it?
& that's exactly what my mom said, all your guests care about is the alcohol who cares what the place looks like? Which is true, BUT STILL! ;D

Oh my veil, I'm having a total love affair with it! It's gorgeous. I think every bride should wear a veil! So I say DO IT! haha. <3

If you can get out of the contract with your current venue, could you get a list of days they are available then find out if your other vendors have a day that they are all free? What are the names of the venues? And i'd def be into BM dress shopping as a group - if we all order the same designer, maybe we could get a good bulk discount!

If there was a scowl smiley face I'd be bombarding you with them right now! haha. No I know. There is NOTHING like that in New Jersey. Which makes me need it all the more. hah. I found out why i never found it while I was looking, it was JUST finished being renovated about a month or so ago. So if I can find a way to get my money back, I may be changing my date.. or attempting to at least. If I have to do a Friday or Sunday wedding, oh well. lol. Wah. Why can't you say it's ugly? I'm not sure how the prices are, but on theknot.com my current venue is $$ and the new one is $$$? So idk how much different it could be? But I can't get prices without going to look at it.. sucks. I tried talking to the owner but he was uber persistant on getting me to come in and take a look and I just can't bring myself to it.


I will most definitely keep you updated! =] If the girls are in the same colors we may get even more of a discount!

But on to your wedding drama. I totally understand the frustrating position that you are in. The new venue does look beautiful from the pictures, and if you don't lose too much money then I hope you are able to work something out. However, if you are going to be stuck with your old venue, I'm sure it will all work out then as well. Even though it may not be ideal, it's a location to celebrate your wedding and have a good time and I'm sure they will do a good job! Fingers crossed that things work out the way you want them to though!

Thanks girl! The new venue is gorgeous, but first I need to take another look at my current venue. From there, talk about getting my money back, then call new venue and find out if they will be available either they day before or day after our current date, CONSIDERING the fact that I already have my honeymoon booked for the 8th. Ugh, this sucks. I just wish it was over already. I'm so done with it all!

So, as most of you know I had a walk thru at my venue yesterday. My maid of honor ended up getting called into work and wasn't able to make it. So I went with one of my bridesmaids. I must say I think I was more nervous about the walk thru than when I had booked it originally! Craziness. Not only that but that morning my mother kept giving the guilt trip in regards to me not bringing her along. I love my mother to death but I need to see the space with no outside comments. My bm, Nikki, who came along is very vocal but I knew she understood why I was going and was going to be quiet unless spoken too (ha I sound like a major biatch, but you know what I mean). It was gross and disgusting the whole morning but as soon as we got in the car it cleared up.

Well, we found another route to the venue and totally not on purpose! haha. I knew where I was going but along the way I somehow made a wrong turn? But it worked out cause it actually brought us out a little closer to the venue on the main drag in Sea Bright. Woohoo! Go me! ha. I meant to make that turn, duh!

So we get there and there was like nobody there! I finally found the building manager in like this little hidden room! haha. Craziness. He let me walk thru all by myself! Which was awesome because you can speak verbally about whatever you wanted and not worry about being criticized! ha.

The cocktail area isn't really what I was worried about. It will probably look very similar to what it does in the pictures, except as long as the weather permits the large doors will be open leading out to cocktail tables on the patio area outside. So fingers crossed it's nice out! ;D The venue supplies those centerpieces if we'd like to use them, so we're opting to use them! It saves us money and we'll have the beachy feel that I love in the cocktail area.

The sign in table will NOT be as you see it above. I'm already working on a few ideas/projects for that.. stay tuned.

And this is the bridal suite..

As far as the reception area goes, it was a bit of a mess. I think they were taking down from an event the night prior? So the table linens and all that were a mess. One thing that I know FOR SURE is I so totally hate banquet chairs. hah. But unfortunately, Chiavari's are crazy expensive to rent. So I'm totally just hoping that the venue will actually PURCHASE new chairs before my wedding. FINGERS CROSSED. Here are some pictures for thought.

I am OBSESSED with the circular window and where our sweetheart table will be! Yippie! hah. We're also building a platform so that we'll be raised up and we can sit our bridal party tables in front of us and our view will not be blocked. The bar will be decorated with homemade floral arrangements, which you'll see when I get to of course! And I want to have a few more cocktail tables around that area for people to converse near the windows, etc. The only thing that really bothers me is back by the stairs I feel like it's almost wasted space. There was a large long table back there, which I have NO idea what it would be used for considering the fact that we're having a sit down dinner. Once I book a florist I'm going to speak with them about how much it would cost to have tulle and twinkle lights draped across the ENTIRE ceiling and having paper lanterns over the dance floor. My venue won't set up the tulle so I'd have to somehow get it up there without ME having to do it lol. I'm also officially getting uplighting! My dad said 'whatever' so to me that means yes. ha.

Here's a diagram I drew up for you all to kinda understand what I'm saying. It's surrounded by windows of course. But I'm a visual person, so if you're like me this will totally help you go 'AH-HA!'

I also took some pictures of the bathroom, THEY'RE HUGE!! And of course I have to find some cute way to decorate them and put a touch of sparkle in there! And there's also the garden for pictures and the gazebo where my outdoor ceremony would have been and the outside of the venue.

I was also browsing through the photo albums they had and found a tall centerpiece that I loved. It'll obviously be different colors. And the inside wouldn't be all seashells, it'd be some shells mixed with those glass marbles in coordinating colors and glitter! I wold also want some willow wispy things out the top, think the hill in Nightmare before Christmas.

I then of course emailed my coordinator as soon as I got home some questions. And she actually answered me today! Fast little lady! Some of the answers weren't so hott but I did find out a lil tid bit of information. They already have a wedding booked the night before and the morning of mine. So.. as some of you may know about my ceremony fiasco.. I HAD to ask what time the wedding before mine is. If it's early enough and ends early enough.. hopefully some little lady will get her beach ceremony like she so dreamed of. Because my frikkin entrance would be AWESOME! Up over those steps.. you see little bits of me at a time.. and then meeting my dad at the bottom.. OH EM GEE.... I got butterflies just thinking about it. So I need all my girls to keep fingers, toes, eyes and arms crossed along with loads and loads of pixie dust! Because that'd be awesome. Dave said no matter what we're staying in the church but I say his mind can easily be swayed..

So it looks like the venue is going to work out which is a TOTAL relief and a half off of my chest. I then got a phone call last night that my tiara is in! And my veil will be in next week! Woohoo! Now to just get my stinkin dress! Rawr.
