It's live now on ABC and supposedly there is going to be some death-defying fall. But first we watch video of him scaring the crap out of people with his "magic." Oh mindless television...I can't get enough.

Even with his breaks, I can't see how he did that. I get a horrible head rush & very dizzy if I'm upside down for a few seconds. I would've died after 2 minutes.

I saw Blaine do a "death defiying" dive or something, and it showed him jumping towards the ground, but he clearly was harnessed with ropes which then yanked him up above the crowd. What was so amazing about that? What did I miss there? Yeah, I just don't get it!

The "amazing" part was that he was only supposed to be tethered to the metal structure around him with a cable only that long but he "disappeared" way up into the sky well above the structure and the length of the cable.


Actually, him catching a bullet in a little metal cup in his mouth was much cooler.

I totally don't get this guy. The inside the ice block thing, hanging upside down, how is that magic? And more importantly, how is entertaining? I've seen him do some cool magic on a couple shows, but these stunts he does aren't magic and they definitely aren't entertaining.

Anderson Cooper was talking about his hanging stunt the other night and it was hilarious. He said "I just don't get it, bring back Doug Henning, he did real magic."

Well, DH and I got suckered into watching the last 3 minutes last night. WTH was that??? He was hooked onto a cable and they hoisted him up in the air. Well woop-dee-do.

The poor TV anchor. I thought he did a good job of really talking it up, when it was nothing.


And maybe we missed it, because the camera kept cutting away from David and went to the crowd. And it was dark.
Had the camera kept on David and there was a spotlight on him and then poof--he disapeared, ok then. I'd have given him a . But it goes dark, the camera cuts to the crowd, and then he's gone. Please.

I don't know why people call David Blaine lame or stupid. I know he's not doing any real "magic" but he's constantly trying to see what the human body can and can't do. I think he does facinating experiements. 100 years from now people will look back at this and be amazed.

I got tired of all the commercials and turned. I never saw the end. He doesn't call these stunts magic, just stunts. He likes to push to see how far his body can go. And people like to watch in case he dies or is horribly injured in some way. When that doesn't happen, it looks like a non-event and people are disappointed.

I think his card tricks are amazing. That, to me, is his real talent. The rest if just him trying to push boundaries. You don't have to watch. He was on Regis this morning and said the ending went wrong because of the winds.

I find him to be very sexy and cute.

I saw him on Regis and Kelly this morning too. Said ABC wouldn't let him do the stunt he wanted to because the winds picked up. He was supposed to fly away on the cable w/balloons attached to it.

At least he's owning up to the cheesy ending. I'll give him a for that!!
